Sincerely, every leaked picture that says "taken with this ... phone" is fake.
Every video clip we see that says "This video was made with the ... phone" is fake too

I use apple products but why bother with these "shot on iphone" bs when everyone knows it's edited and enhanced. It just makes the iphone itself "not good enough". i hate these ads.

Even ugly chick can be cute with enough surgery and make-up. It's fine if they use peripherals every household most likely have tho. it's nonsense using iPhone to shoot footage but with over $100k for equipment /software / expert staff.

Shot on iPhone XS could be just a professional camera stuck "on" the back of the iPhone.
So it's not entirely a lie... apple haters >.>

Very clever for Apple to show in the video the disclaimer, "Additional hardware and software used" in small, nondescript text, for just over a second. Most people would miss reading the text, it being flashed on so short a time and in small, fine print that's largely unnoticeable. What "Additional hardware and software used" actually means is that dSLR lenses - macro lenses, telephoto lenses, prime lenses and lens filters and mounting pads, accessories and adapters were used during the filming, done by multiple skilled film makers or crew (certainly not the work of a single person), with the crew working on the limitations of the iphone's video hardware and software and so in addition to multiple $1000++ dSLR lenses, copious amounts of raw video footage editing, dubbing and processing in a desktop were done. In short, a video/film no ordinary iphone user can even come to even at least just approximate or come close to in terms of quality and cinematography.

It's fraudulent advertising from Apple to sell you overpriced iphones promoting them as excellent pro-level video capture devices. But then again, which smartphone manufacturer doesn't cheat, making over the top claims about their newest smartphone models as 'rivaling' and even 'exceeding' professional dSLR photo and video recording capabilities? None. I pity smartphone buyers wasting $1,000++ on a smartphone just because they want to capture better photos and videos when all they do in their phones is shoot auto mode every single time.

Despite the lies, but don't forget that only apple phone have the highest DxO mark.

                      Sick!

no way to be shot on iphone! and if so... it won't come out like that! certainly they've used some professional software or other hardware!

Oh sure. Using an app from the iPhone to order/command the shot to a super mirrorless DSLR camera and a the video to a cinema one. And even if it that is not enough, then editing all in a good dedicated software. My old six years old phone is capable of do that too...

                            *Additional hardware and software used.
