From the same website, but the official brand store page the price for 6gb/128gb version is AED 2109. In this case Samsung is AED 89 more (i.e. $ 24.23 more)
The day I typed my message the price was AED 1789. Now the price has increased again.

You see..... there is nothing I get by being a brand basher. I am unbiased towards any brand. I am all for value for money and practicality.
The price for Samsung S9 and S9+ had dropped drastically as soon as S10 was announced. They have managed to sell out at most stores and since the stock is way minimal, they have again hiked up the price.
Even then, the price is less or if not almost similar.
If the price gap doesnt exist, which one would anyone choose ?

So you would rather pay $500 more for it to have a lower rated camera and less ram, not come with a case or already included screen protector, also have a slower charger AND be rated one of the most fragile phones ever made ? Sounds like the extra $500 just ripped you off for an apple logo.

Because here in most of Canada even the 64GB Galaxy S9 to buy it outright is $900 plus tax. So you're saying the S9+ w/ 128GB for $829 to buy outright is very far fetched.... I would like to see proof of equal currency value. And not the price to buy the OnePlus outright and then the Galaxy S9+ with part of it being financed either.

And I'd rather shell out the extra $500 for an iPhone that will get near 5 years of updates than an overpriced one plus. Plus good service at any apple store worldwide.

If they price it between 700 and 800 with features from and not seen on more expensive phones with trade in deals as great as the one from the 6T and availability on all 4 major carriers, then I have no doubt this will sell well

There is so much hatred for Oneplus .... Finally people have started expressing themselves. I was thinking when will this hype and blind love end. The truth is surfacing slowly.
Oneplus is extremely overrated. They are doing nothing for the consumers (thats what they claim). They are rebranding Oppo phones as Oneplus with a higher RAM and chipset. And then they want the customers to believe that they are never settling.
The marketing gimmicks are not working anymore.
To put things to perspective, an S9+ with 128 gb cost 100 dollars less than 6t. How is Oneplus even value for money anymore

I got the 6T McLaren edition for $929 Canadian, has a better rated camera than the Iphone X, 10GB Ram and 256GB of storage, faster charging, comes with a carbon fiber protective case, screen protector already applied. The Iphone X 256Gb version alone is an extra $500 Canadian more. You have no idea what you are even talking about.

That pro version better have a bigger battery than that; especially for the 5G version. That QHD+90Hz screen is going to suck that battery dry. Look at what happened with the ROG phone; and that had only a 1080p+90Hz panel.
I do hope they become the first non-Huawei device to support Nano Memory expansion and at least pull a P30 by offering a wireless charging case. All that will steer me to the Pro version since I love a great panel.
