LG Superfan, 20 Apr 2019Performance is fine they jusy need to improve camera, batte... moreI only became aware of DxO via Gsmarena.

When I visited the site there were not that many phones
The segue is that before I upgrade I read the Gsmarena review

Like another commentator stated if only the iPhone had Bluetooth, i.e Benchmark and high DxO are not going to change me

The DxO is a useful test but DxO are camera based camera so yes flagships are getting better, however Gsmarena do do a camera test themselves

DxO is for me shot on an IPhone, what happens when you have a Gsmarena review for your phone and no DxO

LG Superfan, 20 Apr 2019Performance is fine they jusy need to improve camera, batte... moreOh, I meant to say camera performance, not performance in general

Walter C. Dornez, 20 Apr 2019Agreed. They just need to improve battery, camera performan... morePerformance is fine they jusy need to improve camera, battery, screen, updates, pricing (G8 cost a whooping $800 same as S10) and marketing

Yee, 20 Apr 2019I'm curious how much did it cost LG to have this change mad... moreThey didn't pay them much because the improvement is WHOOPING 1 POINT

                    94 lol
In their next flagship they should use Mate 20 Pro sensor or atleast IMX586 and collaborate with Google for processing

I'm curious how much did it cost LG to have this change made.
Also how many plonkers buy a smartphone instead of dslr for pictures?!

Shanti Dope, 20 Apr 2019Going back from mid range 1/3.06" sensors to common flagshi... moreAgreed. They just need to improve battery, camera performance, and software updates. That's all I can say they really need to improve. Then, they can improve on marketing and pricing

Going back from mid range 1/3.06" sensors to common flagship 1/2.55" sensors is a good move from LG.
However, I still miss the fantastic 16MP 1/2.6" sensors from the LG V20 days.
It was pretty much perfect in every way, with good daylight and low light performance, and all it pretty much needed is the newer and more matured image processing.
Heck, maybe even upgrade the sensor size to full-blown 1/2" and aperture size to f/1.5 while retaining the same resolution for even better results.
Right now, they're not really getting that much better in cameras. They're just fixing the problem that they've created themselves, which wouldn't even have happened if they didn't do it in the first place.

Pathetic result for this phone. It could do better.

LG used to lead in camera from 2013 to 2016. LG G2, G3, G4, G5 & their V counterparts were all better than Samsung S4, S5, S6 & S7 respectively. Ever since they moved to those smaller sensors from LG G6 & onwards, they couldn't compete with Samsung & others anymore.

If LG gets their act together, they can certainly get back up there.
