Would've been better if it was 4G E. I've had many people ask me about it both on Quora and real life if they have 5G and I've told them no. It's false advertising for tech that isn't ready yet

Kangal, 23 Apr 2019It should be upto the USA government/consumer protections o... moreI have been reading up about the US Telecom situation. The FCC and its head Pai are doing everything telecom companies want it to do to make more cash from people. The whole Net Neutrality debacle has already proven that.

US Telcos have posted fake and misleading information all over the place. Yet the FCC did nothing. But that's just the tip of the iceberg

The Register has a ton of information on the matter if you want to understand it better. Here's a link to a few more articles on the matter. Warning, facepalms ahead:

Kangal, 23 Apr 2019It should be upto the USA government/consumer protections o... moreTotally agree, in the UK or Europe clearly if the HSPDA or 3G+ when AT&T did this for the first time carriers in Europe could have followed suit, they did not, as clearly fraudulent, fraud and a con job
Here's why AT&T are claiming that 3G+ is 4G just by counting numerically

If 3G+ is 4G then 4G is already 5G and 5G proper and legal is or should be 6G

When scam artists do things like this, Police, that some CEO does similar beggars belief

Let's hope a class action follows.

Lawsuit reason invoked: Misleading advertising harming customers.
                                    Outcome: Amicable settlement.

I see that the problem raised that was the reason behind the lawsuit has been ignored. Great lawsuit guys. And outstanding settlement

I wonder how much they paid for the "settlement". These companies don't give a F about the customers. All they care about is money.

It's rather discomforting to know that these companies can get away with false advertisements without any repercussions whatsoever.
