However, I was told that NVidia GPUs are better for Machine Learning stuff. I regret buying AMD now as I need a good GPU for my machine learning education.

RX 570 cost around $160 now, but you get double RAM, upto double performance @ new game, at cost $5 more power bill yearly for normal gaming time. Perfectly usable for 1080p unlike this overpriced card.

Or wait for Navi on July, nvidia just priced this card $50 too expensive.

Anonymous, 23 Apr 2019So can it play heavy games at low budget? Idk know about pc... moreNo, it's entry level.

Well, if you satisfied with 720p gaming, maybe. And it's nvidia, their price NEVER @msrp for months after launching probably hover around $200 anyway.

I gonna wait for sub-200 offer from Amd, I heard it's GTX 980 level, (the faster one is $260 on GTX 1080 level). But because it's amd, I put -20% expectations but still deemed good simply because 7nm and gddr6.

The faster one also will be put in next gen playstation and Xbox, aim for 4k gaming with Ray tracing supports. Pc equivalent will definetly enjoy some of optimization, allow us to use $200 gpu instead $1000 one to enjoy Ray tracing albeit lesser one.

Low end card. Meant for budget gamers.

For HTPC.. for contents and videos only, i rather a raspberry pi, and a NAS. Passive, no noise, always on.

But this card could make a good headless streaming Gaming PC couple with a mid range intel i5 or amd ry 5 series. With good internet, you can stream your gaming to your mobile phone /tablet via apps like steam link or remotr or parallel access. And with good idle power consumption.

Keep the resolution to 1280 x 720 (Mobile) or 1024 x 768 (iPad) or so to limit the network bandwidth.

This card is a replacement for the GTX 1050 Ti, just like how that replaced the trusty GTX 750 Ti, which displaced the GTX 650.

What these cards have in common are that they are the fastest cards Nvidia offers which only requires the PCIe slot (no power connectors).

So I'm guessing the new GTX 1650-LP-HH is going to be a great pathway to add a dGPU to an office PC system to get a great boost. Think of those Dell Optiplex SFF 9020 PC's which are only 8.4L small, and you can pick up for US $100-$400.

These can come with a 4.0GHz Intel Core i7-4790 (4c/8t), 32GB DDR3-1600, 2TB 5400rpm HDD while you can equip it with an extra 1TB SSD, a Bluray/DVD writer, and a USB Wifi dongle. Perfect sleeper pc to slide beneath your TV and act as an overpowered HTPC. And despite its age, such a system is able to compete with modern day systems.

Perfectly acceptable for 1080p gaming. 1440p on ultra/high settings might be pushing it.

Anonymous, 23 Apr 2019Now I can play on high settings againThat's what I noticed when I bought an RTX 2080. Runs games well enough when overclocked, though some games dip below 100 FPS and so my next step is to upgrade the rest of my PC, then maybe 2080 to 2080 Ti. THEN it should run games like how I want them to run.

My friend has been drooling for an 1660, I think this would be too slow for him. Otherwise I'd recommend this model, but probably just too slow. Dude still has an ancient 60 Hz monitor, but yeah... 2060 was also something I tried to make him save up for, but apparently that's too much.
