OnePlus will finally pioneer a sensible camera system.

.DeadPool., 26 Apr 2019Well, so long for the flagship killer with this price tag.More like a flagship peer now. I'm okay with OnePlus entering the 'no compromises' segment of the industry. Now they'll be on par with Apple and Google. Looking forward to the reviews for the OnePlus 7 Pro.

i hope they ve have fixed they r weak vibration motor..other than that they r good solid phones tbh...

What makes a flagship from a good vendor a flagship? all top of the line specs, best quality performance and a great after sales service. One plus fails miserably at the third one. so no matter how people call it a flagship killer, it would always be a mere killer never a flagship.

blabla, 26 Apr 2019Not to forget the fact that S10+ would have a much better c... more"Not to forget the fact that S10+ would have a much better camera in comparison."

Not too sure about that. From the leaks, OnePlus seems to have the better hardware. If they utilize it properly with much better processing compared to last year, they can win.

Regarding hardware, OP7 is supposed to have a bigger sensor(IMX586), f/1.6 lens and OIS. The S10+ has smaller pixels (1.4um v/s 1.6 in OP7), but slightly bigger aperture at f/1.5 and OIS. It's going to be a close one, but OP7 should get more light in the sensor from a pure hardware perspective. S10+ should have had an f/1.4 lens to match the light capability with the same sensor.

Also, OP7 is supposed to have the same telephoto camera as the P20 pro from last year, which has 3x zoom. So the zoom seems to be better as well. All in all, this seem to be an interesting package, and I would love to see what OnePlus does with it.

For the last few years, OnePlus had worse camera hardware than the competition. This year it's looking to be the second best (behind the P30 pro, which has even bigger sensor). I'm looking forward to this phone. It's still going to be $300 cheaper than the S10+, so great value for me.

At this point, the only edge OP has over other OEMs is the software experience and not great prices. And i have a feeling, people will stop buying OP phones just for their UI.

Also Samsung has much better service. 1+6 user, FP sensor somehow stopped working, 2 weeks at service centre (which is not even in the city I work in), nothing.

And just like you I would have much preferred a wide angle. Even a telephoto would have been okay compared to the nonsensical depth/tof cam.

How does the Reno have the 10x zoom and this doesn't at that price? This makes no sense.

Basically an Oppo Reno zoom edition for the global market. Well with inferior 3x zoom

Hmm the S10+ is already under 800€ in some online stores and it has a jack, ip rating, wireless charge, reverse charge, SD card, all things neither OP7 will have.

We knew all along that OPO's price was not viable. We also know that flagships have the higher profit margins. But Oneplus is going over the edge. They offer less (no 3.5mm jack, no SD card, no IP rating), they add some gimmicks, talk too much and skyrocket their prices. When OP7 hits the markets, there is a good chance that S10+ will be very very close to OP7's price. Good luck OP, your community is not with you anymore.

Well, so long for the flagship killer with this price tag.

The high megapixel gimmick about the smartphones these days based on quad bayer technology is ridiculous. The resolution is worse even taken at the highest megapixel setting.Who taught Huawei and samsung that applying over sharpening filters on a image boosts its clarity? For god's sake please develop a real camera sensor based on the Nokia Pureview 808 or 1020 sensor architecture.

I guess it's slightly better than the useless camera on the 6T, as in we are going to get better portrait shots, some AR stuff and portrait video.

I would have preferred an ultrawide instead.

That 24MP secondary camera on the non-Pro version better not be a useless depth cam... but I'm getting the feeling that it's exactly that...

700 for such a phone is more like mainstream.
