Did Samsung just show the Galaxy S III?

17 January, 2012
The video presentation from CES shows an unannounced S II-like device, that could be just a mock-up.

Thing is, Samsung fan boys went trolling on Sony's/HTC's/LG's/Motorla's/Apple's topics while them fans never do anything to the Samsung topics...

I would rather buy galaxy S2 than iPhone 4S, but I must say Samsung is just copycat. If there wasnt Apple, many products like phones, ultrabooks, tablets wouldnt look they look now...

Hmmm, the way they present looks familiar. The big background screen, the walks, the gestures, the diction...it's annoying...

peter, 17 Jan 2012do that again, and post it on you tube, for if you are trut... moreI can vouch for him. My wife dropped her phone alongside my S2 from roughly about 1-2 foot off the floor whilst getting out the car and the front of her 3gs completely smashed, still able to use it but it looks A MESS. My phone on the other hand is absolutly fine and since then my wife is now thinking of switching to Samsung because although they may feel cheap, they are a hell of a lot more durable than an iphone. I don't think anyone will put a videon like that on as they are just throwing £500 to £750 away (depending on how much they bought the iphone for) as we all know glass smashed easier than plastic.

If this turns out to be the Galaxy S 3 or a different flagship phone then we all know its going to have monster specs and with ICS on board too. Looks like its going to be a good year for mobile phones anyway. If Samsung release the GS3 with the quad core (I know we don't need it but if its available why not? Not going to hurt is it?) and a nice 12/16mp cam with decent camera tech nice HD screen (atleast 720p). I think 4.5" screens are big enough but an extra 0.1" wont hurt I guess. Be very nice for watching films/youtube on anyway

AnonD-24674, 17 Jan 2012Nope, I wouldn't say it is Samsung galaxy S III. Because I ... moreThe physical button will always be a requirement. I have a Nexus in front of me which is a great little phone. Yes, no home button just the on screen ones. Still need the power button for on, off unlock.

The use of NFC to power on and unlock would be fantastic feature. Remove all buttons and a good security feature.

Changed my mind, no buttons on the phone brilliant idea.

I know what everyone is saying about design vs durability...

I think iphone 4 went too far down the way of glass and metal - picking one up it's slippy, heavy, and very fragile...

Samsung have gone to the other extreme - light, plastic, durable - but screams boring...

I recently put my GS2 in the washing machine by accident - it went through all the washing and spin-cycle - and after drying it thoroughly, it still works PERFECTLY... and without a scratch on the screen... imagine doing that with any iphone...

We need the designers of both handsets to get together and create the ultimate looking, durable handset!!

                                  :)

Nope, I wouldn't say it is Samsung galaxy S III. Because I believe the SGS III will come with ICS and will not need any physical button as seen in the image.
Secondly it looks more like a Galaxy note to me than SGS III.
