And about usb pd, this is not considered proprietary tech like qc or vooc, because it's open standard tech from usb-if and royalties free, they only need paying for some standard test, if they want get pd compliance certificate for their devices.
I know that vooc use non standard cable and connector which have more pins than the standard one, maybe they are have too many micro usb related stuff inventory left, or maybe they see the market still dominated by micro usb peripheral and accessories, so they still use it for their lowend and even their midrange devices.
So my guess, their slow adopting for type c is because many factor outside license/royalties.

Qwerty2019, 01 May 2019it is not like what all of u are thinking, actually... T... moreOne Plus offers USB-C and fast charging. One plus is aimed at higher segment but there are many Oppo phones which are meant for upper-mid segment still offer only Micro-USB. Oppo has to make the switch sooner than later otherwise it will loose customers.

Personally, I don't mind VOOC charging through Micro-USB on a budget mobile like 3 Pro. But one year from now I will join people who will only buy USB-C mobile. Also, I hope rumoured Realme flagship doesn't ship with Micro-USB port.

To make a phone with USB type-C, a manufacturing plant should have license/ certified, so not EVERY phone manufacturing plant able to make a USB type-C powered smartphone.

In addition, Oppo's proprietary VOOC fast charge are designed with microUSB port, as USB type-C has its own proprietary fast charging (USB-PD), so Oppo has to redesigned its VOOC fast charge from the scratch which means more $ and more time for R&D to work.

Not to mention, Oppo have to pay royalties for VOOC usb type-C compatible, because USB type-C already have its own fast charging system, and Oppo might be sued if they don't pay royalties.

Realme sell like hotcakes here in Malaysia. The only letdown is the micro usb port.

really, is a shame, good specs, good design phones, even they cant add a +11 cents usb C to their phones, so, no buy...we are looking for future, not past.

Oppo, vivo and others are sleeping.
