add pixel earbuds and amoled display, i'm your man. pixel is known for camera but bad in hardware specs, ram management and other bugs/issues. So, why do you think, i should pay that much for an year old inferior chipsets when some chinese brands already sold those phones almost a year ago and your brand pixel itself with higher specs, camera, earbuds are sold for $599!!!

why do most android oem's short consumers in terms ram? i suspect it's because apple uses little ram for it's handsets.

Pretty garbage for 500 no thanks.
MI9 cost same and is many times better and faster.
Same goes for a Pocophone which is also a lot cheaper.
Many Huawei or Honor phones cost also less and offers much better specs.
Lenovo Z5 pro GT or Z6 pro GT also offers more bang for the bucks.
Oneplus 5 or Oneplus 6 is also better deal.

The real question here is a size, i.e. how far below 150mm they went with it.
5.6" screen size looks very optimistic, but paired with the fairly large bezels (I really like the design but still)... They probably should've just went with 5" and go after 140mm height, it would've given Samsung Galaxy S10e a better fight.

They raised it to 400$ just because the pixel 3 !WAS! 750$ when it was released. People are not complaining because it's unfair compared to 750$ they are complaining because the pixel 3 is to be had for 500-550$ right now. Why would you go a heaphonejack for 150$ more if they have to live with: worse cam (front), less potent chipset (645 really?!), less quality material,no stereo front speakers? Updates are no valid pricepoint for google, as isnt the backcam (since it's the software that does all the fun). The price seems dull compared to a full featured pixel 3 for 500$, that's it. The pixel 3a should have SD710 and a dual cam setup at the front at least to justify the price.
