The rebate was an attempt to block Infineon and Int.
The deal was also about killing WiMax.

What Qualcomm is doing with Apple and other companies that works with them is pure business, that's how companies stay afloat these days. The 5G series continues it then allows the 4G to continue with only the 855 being out of sync future 4G will continue.
It then becomes confusing if both 4G and 5G are higher than 855
