Anonymous, 03 May 2019Lol, you can't dominate an already dead market. The days... moreSmartwatch market will never day. Since phones are getting bigger people are choosing something more compact not taking phone every time.
But most important what watches can offer is health apps. ECG, blood pressure, heartbeats and so on. Watches will just become more and more popular when these functions will be in every watch. This market is just gonna grow more soon!

gauron, 03 May 2019We don't really need smartwatches, they are a novelty and a... moreBu that logic we don't need tablets either, as we have smartphones, or we dont need smartphones because we have home computers or laptops so we should just regress back to the dark ages, we don't need half the stuff we own nowadays but it has a place, smartwatches are no different, different people use them in different ways, mine is great for maps and distance running when carrying my large phone isn't justified, it just so happens that convenience allows me to save and share my workouts to my online tracking without having to sync to my phone and If i choose to share it on social media then so be it, not my thing really for social media but for some people it is

I'm really glad to see Samsung rising.
From 7.2 percent to 11.1 percent is quite impressive, really loving their Galaxy Watch and newer Galaxy Watch Active.

We don't really need smartwatches, they are a novelty and a luxury. But Apple can sell anything, so it's no surprise that they dominate this market. I can understand if these replaced phones or just using fitness features but do you need to connect to social media so often and readily that it is too much trouble to take the phone out of your pocket?

Doesn't matter if it dominates or not
It is only for iPhone users
Android users can't use the apple watch so basically it is only dominating the apple scene so who cares

Lol, you can't dominate an already dead market.

The days smart watches can last a week would also be the day that they become useful. We are at least a decade or two away from that. Niche product is niche and nobody cares to have an extra accessory over their phones. OK, some few do, hence why it is a niche market though.

It is one of those boneheaded moves that Jobs would had never done and now Apple is stuck with supporting a terrible idea and a terrible product.
