Dark theme is VERY IMPORTANT to me. It wont blind my eyes while using phone at night in my room.
I think this GsmArena website should have dark theme too.
I've been longing this for too long.

Anonymous, 05 May 2019Yikes You should try it. App stores are full of themes and, lo and behold, some of them are actually pretty good looking.

Dark themes mostly popular among kids and younger teens. Grown people more prefer light themes, as they lighter and easier.

I'm mostly the dark guy... Dark themes for me any time of the day.
Specially on OLED screens, because they save battery.

I didn't vote. Cuz i love both dark and white..
I'm using a LCD one..oh god i hate LCD screens..
In the day time i prefer white theme so much clean and easy to read in direct sunlight.but indoors i love dark theme it looks so much cooler and stylish..
I would like black theme than dark one..
We should have both..
Thanks

I use the browser with white theme, dark theme isn't my favourite and I won't force myself to use it because of want to save some battery. Actually I don't care my Z2 is IPS screen, but most of the time I prefer white theme, I adjust the brightness for comfort reading and save battery.

I changed my theme however my mood changed. It's not always dark theme for me. It sort of depressing overtime. Need a little color and brightness in life sometimes. Healthier for the mind.

I always use a colourful theme. The world isn't black/white, why stick to that on a phone?

Wasn't like every phone in 2013 had dark theme (settings, notifications, drawer etc..)?
Then they suddenly went lighter with each generation. Even my Honor phone had dark pull-down notification bar until Pie came and it become completely light.
And now developers are tricking the users into thinking dark themes/modes are some groundbreaking technologies and you need to keep waiting for them if they ever come.

Whackcar, 05 May 2019There is a time and place for each. Light themes are better... moreBut of course, it'll be better if these apps/software have an option for users to switch between light and dark mode automatically, based on the timeline you've set for it, just like what you're seeing on Nova Launcher, or even Twitter

Dark themes are a must for all apps and websites, not only for the battery saving, but because it looks cool and it doesn't annoy me in the dark.

If you're talking about dark mode across the board, regardless of whether my smartphone is using an OLED panel or not, then in most cases, that's a definite no. I don't even bother turning dark mode on to be honest, unless there's an option for me to set it to auto, and that's where I think most app developers out there went wrong. I mean, sure, these app developers are finally giving us dark mode, with the benefits of it being better battery life (if you're using a smartphone with an OLED panel), and the fact that it's easier for us to read at night. But with the omission of an option to have it switch between light and dark mode automatically, it's kinda troublesome. And within days, you'll most probably forget about it, just like me
