For a 50k phone they better throw in wireless charging and waterproofing. You could get a Samsung S9 at that price with a bunch of features and a significantly better display at that range.

Say there is a country with 10 people, everyone has 10000 USD each, and there is one country with 1 guy having 1 million dollars and other 9 having 0. Won't per capita of country 2 be higher? But where would you like to be assuming you are not one with million dollars?

I can understand that every company want profit, especially high marginal profit, so 1+ just put their phone with same price as samsung

Anonymous, 05 May 2019if you drop a phone into water then you deserve to have it ... moreExcuses, a phone as expensive as the new OnePlus all them should have IP rating plus other features they lack as wireless charging, expandable memory slot, stereo speakers, audio jack, etc. It's now a basic phone and due to the lack of features and bad camera software that need even ports of Gcam even overpriced.

OnePlus is already now a regular expensive brand, marketing, verbiage, teasing people, and now with only few blind sheeps full of excuses.

if you drop a phone into water then you deserve to have it destroyed :)

and 1+ phones have splash protection anyway which is all thats necessary

So much for being a “budget” flagship.

I’d rather buy an s10 which can survive more than a bucket of water.

$838 for a OnePlus. And they still praise their phones as „flagship killers“ when they are more expensive than flagships and worse. This is not a revolutionary startup like Tesla, this is just a normal company with a sheepy fanbase and - good marketing team.
