"For some odd reason taking pictures of the moon with a smartphone is a thing."

      There is no odd reason.

There is not a single portable camera device except huge laboratory telescopes that can capture the moon's beauty in full clear detail, other than your pair of eyes...

This shows how fake this idea is without periscope camera.
That means even huwaei shows the same fake augmented reality image of moon to creste hype.
Time to go out of the earth
People here are so fool to think this or from huawei is a true moon image LOL.

There was a moon mode on my old HD2.. it was called "stickers" in some 3rd-party app, and would allow me to add just about anything besides the moon as well...

Imagine you spot a spaceship looking object in front of moon, you snap it and idiot "Ai" replaces the real view of moon with a fake one, showing just the moon and nothing else. Like, wtf, why does this shit even exists?

Cellphones don't have a big enough lens to take a sharp photo of the moon. When I see this as an AI mode I think it substitutes a professionally taken photo of the moon with adaptive corrections for size, rotation, and shading.
