            So, the great almighty Huawei that people praised so much gave their fans faux leather back and increased the price to $220 for that HD+ display and sd450? Wow. And it launched with android 8.1 out of the box! Such a great mid-2019 device.

              Correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's "real" faux leather, doesn't it wear more quickly.
              If used in pockets, it would look horrible in a few months

                I got one for my father as a gift, and paid only 140$ for the black version with some goodies. Now, I question this price raise for only some aesthitic change.

                      I think any company, especially big ones, SHOULD NOT officially marketed a product with "faux" word included.
                      Its a very bad influence for any product.. that word alone will degrade the image of that otherwise-good product.
                      Better say "leather-inspired", "leather design", or "leather pattern" etc

                      Faux meaning is fake.
                      My opinion is do not put "Fake" word to any product.

                          In my i mean our store here in Slovakia we have Y6 2019 with same beige leather on back for 164 euros.

                            If you like faux leather, Y5 is a much better deal in this price segment... The power is slightly worse, but in exchange you get much more compact device (Y5 is over 11m shorter and around 6mm narrower, making it a bliss to use with one hand compared to this phablet) and NFC as a bonus.
