They will just say that in normal conditions the phone should withstand 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes and if it got water damaged you clearly did not respected their indications. That's why they have a warranty clause that says they are not responsible if it ever gets water damaged.

Apart from that, i have seen none else recently. And the wireless charging that i have convertible from Samsung costed me 45$ in a local store.

I use an iPhone SE since 2016 and it never and I mean never lag in the OS Apps. Sure facebook sucks and loads in 2-3 seconds but that;s valid for all devices but something as simple as gallery or the music application should never lag.

I agree that my wireless charger might not have 3 coils. But the fundamental issue remains. The charging is not wireless. How much does that Samsung charger costs (without offers co course) . A cable with auto power cutoff costs $5.

No manufacturer gives two ho... moreIP ratings are useful since they tell me what the phone should be able to survive, and is not that expensive since even rugged phones that cost less than 600$ can have water resistance, wireless charging works fine, the issue is that you maybe brought a low quality Chinese wireless charger, mine is from Samsung and it has 3 coils inside them so they do make contact with the phone and i charge it overnight, the phone gets 100% charged fine, and it is fast charging, not as fast as wire charging but fast enough for me to use the phone all day. But guess what, i also have a headphone jack in my phone while having IP 68 and wireless charging, OnePlus is just cutting corners while charging flagship prices.

With IPXX certification, you can legally go against them and ask for a repairment if the damage was done under the certificacion circunstances. Plus even if you live in a country that the law don't cover you. At least, if the phone has a certificacion, you can trust that it'll survive against normal water accidents and have more freedom in where and when you can use your phone. But you can't trust a phone without IP XX certification, so you should avoid put the phone near any water or liquid and avoid the rain if you don't wear protection.

The IP rating is done with freshwater for 30 min at 1 m depth. If you take it to a swimming pool, and it spoils within 10 minutes, guess what? You are NOT covered under the standard warranty. If you dip it in like 50 cm of water tub and it spoils..guess what? STILL NOT COVERED. It is just a way by manufacturers to jack up prices.
And explain how is the current wireless charging really wireless? You still have to put the phone down on a charging pad, with the proper alignment. Disturb it a bit and the device stops charging. Happened so many times with so many people including me. It is night-time, you get an emergency call. After you are done talking, you see that the battery is 2%. You place the phone on the charging pad, thinking that even with this"SLOW" standard of charging, it will be done by morning. Guess what? NOPE! you placed the phone wrong, your phone battery is at 1% and you need to head out. FRUSTRATION at its peak!!
Since the USB-C is a two-way port, charging a device with a cable is now 100% more reliable and 2% more inconvenient at most. Not to mention 30-min of charging gives us a day's worth of juice!
A headphone jack is a far more useful feature! Your Sony XM3 headphones ran out of juice while you are on a 7-hour flight? No problemo! Plug in your 3.5mm cable to the headphones and the smartphone and you are good to go.

I actually like the weak vibration. Of course if there is a setting to emulate the current level of vibration then it is a win-win.
It sounds like OP is making a proper flagship with no weak areas or cut backs to get the price down and I fully expect all those constantly moaning about how the OP is weak in this area, weak in that area is going to moan at the price of this.

See, talk about a typical flagship model and they add about $300 for just making the storage 512 GB from 128 GB. By what definition is this value for money?
And how much speed do you need?
I have a 128GB Card running. The speed is just fine for what I store in it, which is songs, videos, images, documents, etc. The gallery lags rarely when the pics are many, but what else?
Choice is always good. I like the Samsung approach best.
Internal or MicroSD, 3.5mm jack or USB-C, 4K or 720p, the choice is yours, the Consumer's. Simple.

I have a headphone jack but it's useless with the advent of Bluetooth earbuds. I'd gladly give up the 3.5mm every time for extra battery or a better vibration motion.

OnePlus moto is all about speed so a slow sd card is not even a consideration. LOL microSD cards and a phone which has ufs 3.0 is like attaching a 5400HDD to a computer which has Raid 0 M.2 SSD. If you did not understood my example just let it go, it's not even worth to reply to my comment.
