Just think how angry people get every time a new phone is announced without a notification LED. Those stickers weren't as useful, but better than nothing.

I remember some old button Nokia in plastic blue colour which had a camera add on possibility few weeks after release.
Then everybody got a camera on its phone.
It was funny. and crazy
But in present era Motomonds which allows you to instabntly print taken picture sounds great or the projector which can make your screen pretty huge.
