The display is indeed impressive from a technical standpoint. It's the first 1440p 90hz OLED panel on a smartphone, which is a commendable achievement.
Visually though, it has quite a few drawbacks, hence not among the best overall.

Above 100% sRGB is usual affair with OLED that's why all the images look oversaturated cause they blast up the color intensity. It has absolutely zero impact on actual image quality or improvement, actually it looks worse on sRGB images.
Anyhow DisplayMate is equal of DxO and it lives by being paid. I'm not saying OnePlus doesn't have a good display I'm just saying they are overspending on marketing since some major tech blogs have been putting rumors as headlines months ago and now on day 1 they have the full review that revolves around display.

well done for producing such a fabulous display, i havent seen the iphone, but my galaxy s10+ is fantastic so you are clearly doing a great job if compared to both of those devices, your display i think will look the best out of the 3 tho due to the size and no notch or cut out camera hole, well done im kind of keen on this device

DM has no credibitlity ..
Delta is above 2.0 , you can find even devices using LCD with lower delta.
140% sRGB is lower than S8 and XZ Premium (both from 2017).
