      Motorola ,Sony etc since they earn enough through patent ,Sony earn much through selling their sensors ,,these guys are not serious about manufacturing mobile .. there was a company named HTC ( out of the frame now ), Nokia is struggling but all in vain . Blackberry ( playing hide and seek ) and new players are in the market .

          Exynos? Really wrong move. Motorola must use upcoming Snapdragon 730 to sell better.

              Yes, there will be an overlapping period, but then all 21:9.

              Adaptability to old contect is also good, as it makes for smaller pictured for "aged" content, similar to the smaller TVs used to present it at it's time.

                How many movies are you watching? The only content that benefits from this aspect ratio are theatrical movies.

                TV series, YouTube videos and anime if you're into that are all 16:9. The only exception I can think of right now is that some YT channels like LinusTechTips and MKBHD started shooting in 2:1 aka 18:9 but you still lose more screen estate to black bars compared to 19.5:9 display.

                  Everything is crap about this phone, except for the 21:9 aspect ratio. Time to get more phones with this ratio.

                      This shows how expensive the Pixel 3a is. I like they have a "near" flagship class camera in this midrange phone. Oh, the small bezels too!

                        Sony always paving the way for the industry, even if you don't want to believe it. waterproof rating, 4k display, 4k camera, slow-mo video, 21:9 display.

                                  Galaxy A50 a lot better phone than this one, except for stock android and Android One.

                                    So i was wrong in saying that other manufacturers will adapt sony's 21:9 aspect ratio.
