Redmi to announce Note 7S with a 48MP camera on Monday

It could be a re-branded Redmi Note 7 that's sold in China.

When they launched the Note 7 in India with the inferior 12-13 MP sensor and f/2.2, I instantly opposed it because you must not use the same name for different things, its misrepresentation.
In fact, the one with inferior cam should've been named 7S or 7t or something... Now, its all confusion as original Note 7 may get launched with 7s moniker.

Anyhow, what's in a name? Except confusion of course.

      There's a possibility that the 7S will have 48MP camera, much like the global version of the Note 7.
