UPDATED: The 900's coming soon page has been pulled, after what we suspect was a premature launch.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2012Dude u must b referring to Apple's.No. I'm right on the spot for calling out Android.

Android is a mish-mash of stolen patented technologies and they call it their "innovation". Care to explain why Google is buying Motorola for its patents? That's right, it's because Google stole so many patents that they need the vast patents of Motorola so they can protect themselves and fire back. Why do they need to protect themselves? It's because they knew they stole patented technologies and put them in Android and they thought they can get away with it.

Google is an evil company and it's not as clean as its fans make it out to be.

Nice phone if it was avilable now id give it a shot, ive used a wp7 before a samsung focus and it was okay esp the xbox live intergration, so the OS isnt bad and this is coming from an Android user from the birth of the os (htc Dream Canada G1 us), still tho for the moment my SGS2LTE trumps everything avilable in Toronto and pretty much all of noth America since we have more phone on the Canadian market

It took over 3 months for SGS II to make it from Europe to US and well over half a year from announcement.

Not surprised if Lumia takes a while to come from US to Europe. They have to concentrate on one place at a time. There is the exclusivity deal to AT&T too of course.

Still, I think the first Apollo devices will come first to EU again. Really waiting to see what MS & Nokia have in store for those.

Also a wallpaper is app for them .... if they remove all those "sexy asian" (lol by the way) wallpapers then i guess their actual count would be reduced by half i guess.

Google made Android and used other companies' patented technologies. It's that simple. They couldn't make their own innovation so they stole others tech and put it on Android and called it "innovation".

Android OEMs deserves to get sued for stealing. The fall of the Android OEMs to Microsoft's threat of a lawsuit and their settlement to license the technologies proves that these OEMs realized that Android stole patented tech from MS.

Google's practice of stepping on other companies' toes should stop. Android was built using stolen technologies from other companies and that's why the OEMs are getting sued. Anyone who is not a fan of Google will see through this treacherous practice.

Google is the bad guy here and they need to get stopped.

AnonD-37627, 24 Jan 2012Wow you are really a kid or paid from Nokia to act as a clo... moreWe're talking about mobile OSes here and NOT desktop OSes. And FYI, it is far easier to get a malware on Android as its malwares are masquerading as a REAL app! It's malwares are so finely crafted that it acts and do what it's advertised to do then steals your personal datas and sends it behind your back.

An Android malware pretending to be an SMS app will do SMS just fine, do what it's supposed to do, then victimize you without you suspecting anything! And it gets better, those malware apps can be downloaded readily from the official Android Market making it so easy to get victimized.

Google isn't doing anything to prevent the malwares getting into the Android Market. For them, a malware counts as an app. All they care about is the count number of the Android Market so they can brag about it and say they have 400,000 apps!

The open nature of the Android OS makes it fundamentally flawed and Google's reluctance to prevent the malwares from getting uploaded in the market is rediculous.

People will go around the forums proclaiming that open source is the future, like Android, doesn't take into account the ugly side of it. They will never talk about the cons of Android abut talk about Android like it's the best OS. Well guess what? Android isn't the best OS. It is the most unsecured and unsafe smartphone OS on the planet.

But it's the same mother company Microsoft the same strategy the same core code of OS.
Microsoft bashing every OS manufactures with their Law suits they fear to compete honorable.
Now its the exact strategy they follow in Cell phone bashing Android OS IPhone OS (Like they used to do with Linux and Mac) but now they can't because Android already beat WP and in the TOP OS according to Nielsen statistics 56%!

And don't give me that ''laggy'' BS. Anna was helluva lot smoother than Gingerbread, Belle is iOS smooth. More BS on the Zune part. A LOT of people love the Zune interface, saying no one could like using the Zune media player is loads of bull. And what's with the ''always slow'' comments? Nokia is NOT like Android that has it's OEMs being out of control and spewing out non-stop models just by the slightest upgrade. Nokia is for people that are IN control. No, I'm not just referring to the users, but the devs too.

This really isn't necessary for Nokia to release what is essentially A Nokia 800 with a bigger screen and in June as well where it will be competing with all the next generation android phones and quite possibly the next generation of WP7 phones.

I will be extremely disappointed if this is the only device that Nokia announce at MWC. Come on Nokia surprise us with a WP8 device and let the 900 become the flagship WP7.

Why oh why carphone, i work for you and all i can see is us getting sub par handsets to sell. Come on wheres the old exculsive's that we used to get hold of? All we are going to have here is a step up from a handset that we hardly sell any way? And like every one else is saying whats the point in having a dual core when WP7 is pefectly fine on a single. All I can see is its a core race just like the old camera race. Most common people dont care if thier phone will use both cores just so they can play top end games people just want a phone that will work and wont lag which what you get with WP7. Im not a WP7 phone fan by along shot but I can see the appeal towards the OS.
