Gsmarena you should make a weekly poll about which brand has the best custom ui

    This makes me remember that there's no way to monitor anyone that using your tehtering hotspot in Stock Android, while my Jelly Bean-powered Galaxy Tab 8.0 already have it.

    Also, even stock Android skin have been becoming very heavy since Pie. I do remember that my Lenovo a7000's Vibe UI was lighter than any stock Lolipop-based custom ROM for it.

          I think that Google should start making Android OS modular. Sell the phones with the bare minimum required to boot and make everything else downloadable from Play Store or a special Store for system apps only.
          That way everyone's happy.

            Google is letting Apple and Android OEMs do the experimenting and innovation and just copy when a feature becomes a must have

              As former WP user (and really missing it), i am waiting for system wide dark skin. (Well, EMUI DOES have something similar to it but as far as not all apps support it, it's still halfbaked.) Giddy up, Spygle, it's 2019 already.

                  Wait, what? This is not a thing in stock android??? I'm using this for years on Samsung phones! I will never understand why Google is taking so long to include new functionalitys, multi window took them 3-4 years to implement after 1st version showed by Samsung on the note 2.

                    im saying again Google is just doing catch up to Samsung . People bark about Samsung slow updates. but Samsung's UI is far better than stock android with tons of unique features.
                    Secure folder, Samsung pass, good lock, night mode, etc etc . Samsung also team up with adobe for better photo editing. This should have been done by Google so as to bring more pro features to Android like in iOS.
                    Basically SAMSUNG is doing the job of Google

                        Stock android is good but it's not stock android what's Google selling out on android one or there devices its Googlified android,pure aosp is getting out dated in number of features which should have been added to it long ago,aosp doesn't have Google services or apps and that is stock android,oxygen os,lineage are perfect examples of blend and purity

                            I already have this feature on my 2015 Samsung device.
                            Samsung is always pioneer in inventing fresh and cool features.

                                        Motorola's stock Android version already has this built in :).
                                        Every year it looks like Google is borrowing features from Motorola to build them inside stock Android, like the flip to do not disturb feature on the Pixel 3 and Android One, Moto already had that since 2016, ambient screen mode, night light feature etc.
