Teddy Sadcat, 22 May 2019Pretty smart, if not incredibly cheesy :^)Indeed. But this is coming from the company that chose to add the name "10x Zoom" when Pro would've sufficed

Walter C. Dornez, 20 May 2019It's a knock against Redmi, to say that we're the "Real me"Pretty smart, if not incredibly cheesy :^)

I get much of what he was trying to say. But, if they want to go after a young crowd, that is camera happy, and sharing inclined, then the cameras have to live up to expectations. No mega pixel willy shaking, just top drawer camera experience front and back. Then make the devices polycarbonate and colourful. Oh, and a proper battery. Google showed that a good camera experience can be had in a mid ranged device.

Those guys are hilarious , they even stole the name "RedMi" and "RealMe" , the Me sounds the same and "d" in Red seems similar to "al".

He's right. Some want wired, some want wireless, some want in-ear and some want over-the-ear. Add to them the ones who would simply find sound quality unsatisfactory and there will be maybe 10% who would use them compared to 90% who would appreciate less compromises involving phone itself.

These Chinese manufacturers (Oppo, Vivo, Realme) are great at producing phones with the right specs but they're always let down by crappy software. I wonder if they realise just how awesome their brands would be if they launched Android One varieties instead of flooding the market with the same phones under different names. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

" we are a niche company, creating devices for people who are online and want to share their photos and their moments."

So you're a niche company, but you make phones suitable for - eh - everyone who needs a smartphone. So not exactly niche products. Just small market share for now.

I don't care about having earphones in the box. A case and screen protector are more important. So is micro SD slots on phones.... Cough... Realme X... Cough

                      Realme CEO-
" Realme is an independent company, regarding Research & Development, Marketing, Product Strategy, etc. We are still using the manufacturing plants and some key hardware and software, including several patents "

Sounds like a YOUNG Man still living on Dad's (oppo) money and still calling himself independent... Lol

                      Realme CEO-
" We want to bring a lot of happiness to our customers and that's why Realme devices do not have earphones in the retail box. "

Is this interview or comedy ? Seems like he has fallen on his head seriously dude. oh! right your realme buds are generic Lol

You just need to see the word "realme" and you can immediately tell a not-so-fluent-in-English marketer from China named it as such. Their names have that undeniable touch of China lack of quirkiness to it

The things I get from this interview--

Realme: We want our customer to be happy so, we removed the earphones.

Realme: We are independent company from Oppo. Moving far away from Oppo. But let us put ColorOS.

Realme: We want to keep it clear that we are a niche company. We don't want to flood the market. We also need to point out we pushed 7 millions devices in 12 months.

Almost everyone would prefer better specs/less compromises when it comes to the phone. It makes zero sense to include something most people won't use. Some want wired, some wireless, some want in-ear, some want over-the ear. I personally can't even use in-ear and they'd never be an option for me even if they had greatest quality possible.
