Nobody educated and/or tech savvy that is.

Huawei ain't going nowhere. This BS will end sooner rather than later.

The Chinese president just needs to have a chat with the Orange Buffoon.

So, no one wants to talk about Huawei Mate X? The so-called future of foldable. With so many banned their hardware suppliers all said goodbye.

              """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""LEAK""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""

Does anyone actually still believe this kind of stuff? That Huawei didn't 100% plan to "leak" this?

Anonymous, 21 May 2019Looking forward to a competitor to Google, let hope Huawei ... moreThe problem is, Symbian, back in the day, are quite underestimate the competition of mobile OSes. They walk on their own pace even though others are running and already a head of them in term of adapting to what we called "world shift". Which is why, they are already hit the ground when they realize their Symbian is in dying state.

Android, on the other hand, is not. Other manufacturer still use Android like usual. Google still on fire to enhance Android since it has a head on battle with iOS. They won't go down the drain like Symbian. At least not in the near future.

And blaming Google when they are not the only one forced to cut ties with Huawei is kinda ignorant. Even Microsoft, Qualcomm, Intel, AMD are forced to do this. Let see how Huawei release a PC/laptop/2-in-1 without Snapdragon, Intel, or AMD processor. Kirin or Mediatek? I've never heard anything about Kirin optimization with Windows ARM (since Microsoft are only working with Qualcomm for now). x86/64 are basically closed since both major provider (Intel and AMD) are both US companies. Sure, you can put Kirin or Mediatek with Linux. But with most consumer still need Windows, they'll just look elsewhere (heck, most people still look elsewhere even if it was Snapdragon AND Windows).

Licensing x86/64 instruction set? No can do. Since both are owned by Intel (and AMD, in case of amd64). It's a dead end in x86/64 route I'm afraid.

Time for a total new OS, besides Kirin & Mediatek chips are quite capable now.

how about honor 20? no leaks samples or anything?

                    huawei in europe is fine.

Who (outside China) would buy a Huawei/Honor blacklisted by USA phone as the trade war continues? No access to updates, no access to service components.

Google and Huawei have only promised support to already released phones and even for them, after 90 days, the patches become harder to make/get.

Unfortunately, Honor is now dead in the water as long as there is no trade deal. Just like Huawei.
