Apple and Google, 25 May 2019Yep, still no file manager for upload and download from web... moreActually, you can move the typing cursor by press and hold on SPACEBAR button and then moving finger around like it's a laptop track pad. Typing cursor will move around like a mouse cursor so you can quickly move it anywhere within the text you're typing. I was used to arrows from Android as well, but this also works rather well.

Yep, still no file manager for upload and download from web browser, no external file drives integrated in file browser, no keyboard arrows to easily move the cursor in editors, no mouse support and no encryption for indivudual files, no app sideloading, no iOS file manager integration with Windows file manager. iOS is about Apple store not about user's file management. Apple and Goohle say forget what is a file, old concept, learn what is an approved app. Apps not files. Clouds not files. Files are antique. Freedom is in clouds not usb drives. Security is in clouds not in memory sticks. USB is dead. Cloud is alive. Make a cloud subscription and do not buy flash drives.

So instead of allowing this sort of thing to happen, they just block it and create rock-solid secure devices. You must take into consideration that not all technology users are tech savvy and they won't understand the implications of using bluetooth file transfers. By blocking such protocols, everyone is safe - including the non-techy ppl.

Either way, it's not a secure transfer, so either android phones up their game to something more secure, or iPhones won't play with their photo transfers with them.
Just like you don't share intimate details about your personal life with the loud mouth in your office as you know they can't keep their mouth shut and soon everyone in the office will know your "secrets", just like that, iPhones don't share files via bluetooth. If anything, android phone manufacturers are to blame for not creating/adding a more secure file transfer protocol.

Probably because in th... moreI don't use Fecesbook, link still needs to be sent somewhere and then opened, and all these apps are stupid because it means other party needs them too and even those that work via WiFi require you to be on same WiFi access point (which if not at home, you're most likely not). Where Bluetooth protocol has worked by default in any OS but iOS directly, even on freaking feature phones. You just pair devices and send whatever you want. AirDrop with iPhones, if it's fast and easy to use, great. But artificially locking out everyone is just an absolute dick move.

Probably because in the UK the majority of people have iphones but still there are so many ways to do send photos to Androids.
Most obvious is Facebook, any cloud service (Google Drive, dropbox).
Or download the "Send Anywhere" app.
Nothing works as fast as Airdrop though. That thing is crazy fast!

Still optimistically waiting for such basic features as ability to set default browser of choice or send photos through god damn Bluetooth to a non Apple device... I look like an absolute idiot with a 800€ device in my hand that can't send a god damn photo to another Android device... Something even dumb feature phones with BT know to do. Apple really needs to get their head out of their own ass for some things...

Then release, Pubg... fortnight crap .. and show the world how powerful a keyboard and mouse combo is vs touch controls.. the world will be shocked.. :/
