This is definitely the price Nokia should be hitting. Nokia has lost their brand recognition and no longer can demand the $199.99 or above with contract pricing, this is proven by their poor performance in Europe in which many mobile carriers demanded Nokia lower the pricing of their Lumia 800 and 710. This is also backed up by how many carriers and retailers in the US lowered their Lumia 710 pricing to FREE on contract a week after launch. Nokia will be posting their Q4 reports tomorrow, and I don't doubt it'll have very poor performance.

However, this is a good price segment for Nokia, would I try out a Lumia 900 for $99.99? Maybe.

I'm rooting for Nokia...Apple makes great products, but they are in a dangerous position: where else is there to go after being at the top? Same thing happened to Nokia, but now, it's Nokia's turn again.

I don't understand why people get all excited for the $99.99 price tag. What's the differece between 99.99 or 299.99, if you WILL BE PAYING $80 monthly for 2 years anyway?

                All added up, it's a 5% difference.

Thats a good price for a entry level High-End phone. Nokia has more up their sleeves. This move is to make their name & WP more competitive in the North American market. Change is coming and it will take time. Be ready!
