How would you go around a locked bootloader? You can only boot kernels signed by Motorola. You can load additional modules though using workarounds like 2ndInit, but it is not the same.

Motorola should work hard like Nokia. Now Nokia and Sony trying their best to be in competation again. I just love the Nokia's hard work. They are trying their best with that crap WP7 and I know that they will make WP more popular than Android. Sony also got lesson and pushing updates and trying to satisfy customers. HTC is becoming dumb for me now which is better than all these. And this competation is always good for us :)

I tried to contact Motorola support in sweden, impossible was the result.
I just can´t believe in a company that lacks of all kind of support.
Updating their software also is realy bad.
If moto had the same service as Nokia I would consider it but as it is, never. never.
google just have to make the difference here but i kindly doubt that google will have customer service, for their products. android ois fragmented and the downhil will start 2012 when people discovers that their phones problem is to big. buggymoto!

locked bootloader shouldn't matter, the DX was a beast. Its the developers laziness to not want to work around the bootloader. Now moto blows cuz they are constantly one step behind in hardware, the screen is a joke, the 3/4 g radio is absolutely garbage and 1.2 ghz just wont cut it compared to htc and samsung .

It seems the more devices shipped, the bigger the loss is. I bought a Defy in beginning of 2011. Hardware - nothing special; software - dumb. No more Moto for me.

Continue selling phones with locked bootloaders and Blur bloatware, don't provide updates in time (or no updates at all) and you will do just fine...

Does Motorola make money out of Motoblur the same as Google and Facebook do by selling your 'details/activity'?
I like the Motorola phone designs but poor hardware assembly and poor software has made me a wary repeat buyer.
They must be making money out of Motoblur or it makes no sense to be using it on their phones because 50% of people hate it.

I understand why from US - because both companies are from there. And maybe they have big operations at Europe. But what about the rest?
And if so, why not ask for clearance from India? Brasil? and each single country on the planet?
I don't understand...
