Teddy Sadcat, 30 May 2019Extremely unpopular opinion but I agree, anything closer to... moreI agree athat, with the 2019 current state of technology, the punch hole display with punch hole on the top left corner is the best choice because I look much more at the battery indicator on top right corner, and when playing game, it is less annoying at the bottom right...
I also agree as well, I much, much prefer any smartphone with a display size close to 16:9 as it is good for watching video like the first Xiaomi Mi Mix, with it 6.4-inch display in 17:9 that had small bezels as well.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix was a bit too big, so maybe a smartphone with a 6.05-inch in 16.5:9 or 17:9 oled display would allow to watch video in 16:9 on 6-inch oled display in landscape mode while having a small 0.25-inch on left / right side with a minimal punch hole on one side and also 2 front facing stereo speakers
With the 2019 current state of technology, it would provide a very good portable video player, music alarm clock on bedside table, music player in bathroom,...

The only single best solution is to slap a fully 3D measured crystal clear glass protector with no cutouts onto a phone to protect every single millimeter of the original glass.
The only exception is to fit a case and to 3D measure to an exact fit once again with regards to the case dimensions as well and for to cater to specific case dimensions as well.
No reason to get this so called screen protector as the cutouts ( holes ) in the glass protector will not protect the gorilla glass situated above the camera lens... If there's a hole, there's a flaw... dust and debris will accumulate in that hole like a magnet and the gorilla glass will get scratched...

I personaly like punch hole much more than any kind of notch. It's smaller, it's more beautiful, It doesn't block the space and waste it so why not.

They can do triple selfie camera in punch hole in shape of square, covering 20% of the screen.
This of course is only if they want to look more ridiculous

omg so weird as S10+.. Punch hole is a deal breaker for every phone despite specs and price... Better take examples from OnePlus 7pro or Asus Zenfone6 camera setup.
