I have Nokia N8 with Symbian Anna and it has problems.
I now see Nokia is shipping N8 with Symbian Belle.
So when is Symbian Belle going to be available for update by Nokia Datasuite?
I dont use twitter so all info would be helpful.

Although I'll eventually upgrade my phone. I still love my N8. I like it's great call quality, camera, and true offline GPS navigation. The "big three" I call it. It's a great travel phone. I took it with me when I went to Canada and Asia. This summer I'll bring it with me to Europe. It's just that it's lacking third party software support. I'll keep it until I find the "big three" features on another phone.

The N8 becomes the best phone for the money with Symbian Belle. Nothing else out there can offer you that kind of functionality and multimedia capabilities for that price. Go Nokia!
It becomes, what it should have been from the start..

using the belle (leaked version) for the last 2 months.... its good as anything else....UI is vastly improved and even though it is not an eye-candy, still , I can do the same work much much faster and easily on the N8 than the other droid which I own...
Symbian should have been Nokia's first priority, but, anyways, Symbian rocks on my N8....

Anonymous, 27 Jan 2012nokia did'nt short listed belle for 500, but gsmarena liste... moreThe Nokia 500 doesn't have hardware 3D acceleration, so no, I'd recommend one of the others instead. N8's are dirt cheap nowadays... And still hard to beat when it comes to functionality!

Also, doesn't the 500 already have Belle on it? 500, 603,700 and 701 were all supposed to be the Belle generation handsets.

Yes. Belle is a huge change on the N8. As far as I'm concerned it is right there with Gingerbread, if not better. Consider that the N8 only has 256MB of RAM, it is very snappy. Especially with a custom ROM like the one I'm using, Fusion Belle by Satiro (based on 111.030.609) alot of that RAM is freed up by building the Qt library into the ROM and having it installed on the ROM (which is 512MB on N8). Anna only left you with around 49MB of RAM. Stock Belle will leave you with ~110MB, Fusion Belle 170MB.
I imagine the E7 and X7 should run like a bat outta Hell, since they have 512MB of RAM, making them much less frustrating
Ovi Maps is updated to separate simplified apps, the weather apps is fantastic.
Belle is a game changer. Dead it is not, as I'm sure a lot of you have noticed Nokia has plans yet for Symbian OS.
Think Robert Rodriguez is to Nokia. Windows Phone is Nokia's Spy Kids, S40 their Sharkboy & Lavagirl, Symbian is their El Mariachi.
