Sony Xperia 1 in for review

03 June 2019
It was designed as much by Sony Mobile as Sony's professional divisions - engineers from CineAlta and Alpha helped with the screen and camera.

Mr. T, 03 Jun 2019make way for the KING...undertaker is waiting..

I don't think 21:9 ratio is a way to go, ESPECIALLY not when combined with such large screen.

Switching from 16:9 to 18:9 / 19:9 initially made sense because 16:9 made it often difficult to reach the other side of the screen with your thumb, so you constantly had to tilt the phone to touch it. But it only helps as long as the screen isn't tabletoid in a first place - the 2:1 ratio was introduced with G6, which had 5.8", which is an absolute maximum you can go while still keeping the device one-hand-usable. So, the issue isn't really with the ratio as it is with the current trend of making the devices too large - but once this issue is resolved and manufacturers finally start making the smaller devices, 21:9 will again start being counter-productive because to achieve one-hand usability, they'd have to make the screen smaller than the 18:9 ones, because they'll actually have problems with the top-to-bottom thumb movement instead.

Like to see it compare with XZ2 Premium

So the phone come with 64gb rom?

Seen the shots, it's awesome. Color performance ten times the likes of p30pro/iphoneXs(yellow tone). Closest pixel but nothing close in low light.

This time, sony made this slim 21:9 display. One day who knows, maybe (Sony) will make 25:9 display as slim as Victoria Secret's models..
