Yes, they invented the notches, the puch holes, etc... that they are cloning now. What a liar. The Nokia 9, an unfinished product plenty of bugs is the only one with an original design. The rest from HMD are only common and simple designs inside the industry.

The copycats are the ones that first copied that design. First take a look at the history of nokia before comenting here like a m...n. And tell me, what device Nokia 9 copied? And for the end, where are those tweets you're talking about?

Ray, 05 Jun 2019HMD-Nokia don't have a single mid-range phone with under di... moreEvery company has it's priority, if you want quality you pay more (regardless if HMD for manufacturing and quality pieces of tech, or you for using it). Other brands pay a little bit more for cpu and that's about it, but cutting down on the components quality. Their are a very lot of reasons why Nokia devices might be with a few euros more (even tough brands like sanesung or apple have them devices way more expensive.... funny nobody complains about that). From the fact that they do not have emploes on a boat 24/7 to the fact that in europe people are actually paid. To the fact that HMD is finish and well, they most probably pay their debts to the state and oh, the list is long. So just because a chinese brand can do it dirt cheap at the biginning an then, when profit is at stake they suddently raise the prices to recover their lost, does not mean every brand has same opportunities or needs to work the same business model. All you show here is ignorance, nothing more.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2019Yr phone calls & internet calls will be screwed on the ... moreha ha ha... Sure trying to scare people against other brands you get to sell many HMD phones...

Only watching the twitter the small amount of people answering and more than half of them are criticizing the brand and very pissed off, that clearly shows the bad course that HMD takes. They cheated people at first with we are Nokia!!! but everyone knows who they really are now. They lost their chance to offer what everyone expected, cutting-edge products with the latest technology just out of the oven and a design of their own.

The reality is that they are only clones with worse specifications and more expensive than the competition. The excuse of updates is of little use to them. In addition, the only average personalized phone they have, the Nokia 9, arrived unfinished, is still with problems and also obsolete.

Blacktoothgrin, 05 Jun 2019Don't you think in display fingerprint reader is grand of a... moreHMD-Nokia don't have a single mid-range phone with under display fingerprint sensor. And when they'll add it, it'll be because its now cheap after all competitors paid the R&D and the new tech adopting it sooner and now being a common feature in a lot of phones.

Like with the SoC, HMD always with the lower and cheaper in the range of each phone, even the oldest, often. And then asking the higher price like if they were using the best ones... Like the Nokia 9 with a SD845, the latest X71 in presale with the old SD660... etc.

They claim be a premium brand... but use old components. They put 5 camera sensors in their Nokia 9.. and only they know how cheap those sensors must be when they avoided to publish which ones they used. "UNKNOWN" sensors with Zeiss Optics... so funny. Sure that if someone do a test of what category of modems they use... it'll show more of the same.
