Having IR blaster on the S-Pen is good news. I don't want to buy Huawei to get IR blaster back.
I did compare photos with my Pixel 3 vs my Dad's Note9. My photos still came out clearer. Alot of Samsung is based on design and marketing hype. They copied Apple's shallow philosophy to a tee.
Note10 looking like one of the Top 3 best smartphones of the year which is usually the case almost every year.

Love the renders, but I can't imagine the Note10 having a smaller screen than S10+ - 6.3" vs 6.4".
Come to think of it, the Note8 was already too long for me so I moved to an S10+. I love the size of the S10+ but, had I known Note10 will be smaller, I could've waited.

This looks like the sony xperia xz line. too bad both companies abandoned the features that their customers praised them for. no headphone jacks no bezels. and sooner than later no build quality.

I hate all kinds of notches,no matter what form it is. I actually use iph xs max as daily driver . But use galaxy note 9 for watching movies and YT in free time. If note 10 comes with compromised screen/display then may be I’ll go for Oppo reno zoom 10 X

Based on the bottom of the phone, there is STILL MORE THAN ENOUGH SPACE to "squeeze" the 3.5mm jack in FFS!!

I collect phones under 2016. All brands and i have owend 2018 modles and hate them especially apple and a few of samsung high end modles. I have a Qualcomm that still works. Around 90s 2000s. I only have problems with newer phones failling
Look at this way you have the s series and here come the note sereis in 2012 with a 5.3inch screen. While. S3 has a 4.8inch screen. In 2012.
With the pen would a small screen be common senses not really. A bigger screen makes sense for the user to use the pen comfortably. And be able to doodle notes are power houses they pack alot of power in that shell.

Anonymous, 06 Jun 2019Bezel, people complain, asking for narrow bezel
narrow bez... moreRemove the chin, people still complain.
Why?
Some people love to complain, companies love to NOT innovate.
What we really wanted was to stick to the compact 16:9 aspect ratio, make the front symmetrical, reduce the bezels from 70% Screen-to-Body upto 85% Screen-to-Body Ratio, and showcase the front firing stereo loudspeakers. We want some bezel to put those speakers, cameras, sensors, notification lights... but most importantly have some place to hold the device and reduce accidental screen taps.
Instead we lost the speakers, cameras, and notification lights. Instead we got a larger phone, thanks to a subpar aspect ratio. And we also got a less durable/weaker phone thanks to these motorised cameras. Even worse, we have pretty inaccurate cameras with false marketing and advertising, tricking consumers because of a second/third/fourth/fifth camera. And if it wasn't bad enough, they also removed the 3.5mm headphone jack, and ask us to use the inferior bluetooth solutions which use more battery life, have latency issues, and require charging an extra device. They don't even supply the dongle anymore, and most dongles don't work properly either. On top of this, they're removing the microSD/DualSIM slot. All the while the phone (and parts) prices are increasing, while it becomes a very fragile Glass Sandwich that's also slippery and smudge magnet.
Just think of comparing the Oppo FindX to the ZTE Axon7.... where everything is different, but what if they both had the same Processor, Display Quality, Main Camera, and Battery size. Now tell me which phone you would pick? Well, of course, you're going to pick the Axon7! With this design you get better grip, better durability, waterproofing, more compact size... not to mention better speakers, microSD expansion, and that handy 3.5mm aux port. All round it's the objectively better and more practical device, but it's "harder" to market (or false advertise) since it's not so shiny and lacks a million small lenses in the back.
Like I said at the start, what we really wanted was the ZTE Axon7 to get IP68 Waterproofing, get more compact (85% StB), and update the specs (processor, camera, display, battery charger)... all the while keeping StockOS like an AndroidOne device. Again, we have a right to complain because we didn't get this, we got something much worse.

I will switch to ANY phone brand that offers what I need. (considered to buy Huawei P30... but no SD card, notch is a BIG no for me) I prefer to have a tiny bit of bezels as long it doesn't mean I have weird cutouts that would interfere with my viewing points. and YES! I'm a power sl*t. I prefer to have flagship models and the better performance I have. the more satisfied I am. And yes. I'd keep the Note 9 for a few years until another model will pop up that will satisfy my needs.

For me in general, I don't really care if the design is beautiful or whatever. A smartphone has to be RELIABLE to use.
I just don't like Samsung's software and their questionable quality in the long-term. Almost every phone I had ever owned, I loved it at first. Honeymoon phase, yadda yadda. Then a year or two passes and I eventually started hating them. Planned obsolescence is real. Most of them break down eventually.
It's actually Samsung to blame for all these giant surfboard phones. The irony is the first Note was YUUUGE in 2011. If you see it today, it's actually normal size under today's standards.
