I’m not against Facebook, but I don’t like to use it and I don’t like the whole app to be preinstalled or builtin on my phone.

Its a good news, not a bad one.

Why don't you guys use Facebook in browser and protect to some extent your data?

One of the main reason to jump to iPhone and Pixel is Facebook pre-installed.

Unless the phone cannot install Google services or even without Android, does that prevent the phone owner install any Google apps he likes?

And yes this are great news becouse great phones from Huawei with the best cameras will come free of garbage like the Facebook apps in the future. Great news.

Lol for those who are commenting here its good news, less bloatware etc. Funny thing is that all Nokia phones with android one as well as 2017 devices dont come with all this bloatwares.
Actually its a huawei loss they get rewards for each new user thats why huawei has bloatware and thats how these manufacturers earns money and give you bloatwares.
Iam happy with my Nokia phones who dont look for such profits and our devices are secure too.

i missed the part that is a bad news? It really is a Good News. the only thing that is important in a smartphone is. phone app, sms app, contacts app, camera App. and PLay store. thats it.

Homer-Simpson, 08 Jun 2019Good attempt anonymous friend, but for your misfortune the ... moreThat is good. Thanks to trade wars opened, we will have new Operating Systems available soon, new architectures for future SoCs, new apps around the world as alternatives of the spy and social crap from USA, what benefits to those who have bad intentions around the world, etc.

In Europe, Nokia, of course that will offer 5G equipment, but the big part of the cake is already signed and was won by Ericsson. Another big part is still for Huawei, although due to the caprice of the orange man, some countries that want make him happy will only use Huawei equipment in "no key nodes", but will remain it in the lower ones and only few countries including USA, of course, will avoid any trade with Huawei. So Huawei will continue with a big chunk in Europe anyways. There are a lot of countries in Europe... with different ideas and thoughts, even inside the EEC in terms of telecomunications equipment, each country reserve for itselt that area and choose independtly is equipment and auctions its own radio frequencies space. It is an area that countries jealously guard for themselves regardless of whether there may be conversations on the subject between them.

Nokia can increase its part of the market and sure they'll do and grow, but not as much as you could imagine. Where Huawei will not be allowed to offer their equipment and participate in the auctions, Ericsson and other will compete with Nokia. Is not that, "HEY now that some countries refuse Huawei equipment, Nokia will it replace automatically". Nokia will have to compete against others and we will see where they are choosed or not to provide the equipment.

As i said, the trade wars opened several fronts... Some they didn't expect some of the consequencies upcoming, instead of capitulating and surrendering to the attempt of oppression, the adversaries have decided to fight and create new business alternatives. That includes Europe, which has already had several problems against Trump, new taxes imposed, etc. All that at the end will benefit consumers with greater competition in operating systems and designs of new architectures. Even if temporally the prices rise and the economy need a re-adjust time. USA lose a big chunk of customers and business. We win with more alternatives to choose. Each one can go with the products and technology they want invest and buy. As if you have products from all them, whatever you like. The market is not as free as it should for better prices but is a big one with a lot of alternatives to choose and growing.

                                Regards Mr. Hommer ( anonymous : )
