Probably is the way to go. But people is too tied to some apps from Android. It is to be seen how they sort it. But like in the PC, you can find the way to make easier for developers to create cross-platform apps. With the problems with ARM too... they should start to develop SoCs based on RISC-V asap! And recode the Oak OS to work on them.

Is all about cut ties and not depend too much of potential banned technology around the world, political decisions, etc. Not only for China, other asian countries and european ones should develop independent technology too to prevent future problems and undesired situations.

Go with it!!!

Funny to see how desperate Google is. Google has its own security risk and they are not able to fix it 100% damn you google.

The main advantage to Android to success was it having vast amount of apps compared to it's competitor symbion os at early stages of Android I hope Huwaie pulls the app availability

Actually, tbh Google has its own security risks as well. And c'mon obviously now that Huawei becomes a competitor in not just hardware but software too, Google wouldn't want users to jump ship to Oak OS.

              'google warns about security risk'

Sounds like they afraid of loosing money if Huawei's Oak OS success to snatch market share, applying it to various of other brand device in future, loosing their current client.

Well I'm sorry but I feel that we should have options. We're being forced into something. Not for the better. All thanks to a narrow minded muppet based on zero facts. I think I will upgrade to a Samsung.
