At least include a 'dongle' that is a solid piece of plastic, conform to the bottom of the phone, has 3.5mm on one side and USB-C on the other (for charge and listen). Not that I'd buy one of these, way to big for my tastes.

It is the same recycled hardware with minor improvements to the design as was the case with S6 (good) > S7 (best) then S8 (good) > S9 ( best) / Note4 (King) > Note5 (fail) > Note6 ( never born ) Note 7 (good but fail) > Note8 (good) > Note9 (best)
Which leads me to say that it's best to wait at least until the 2nd gen arrives but best of all it is wise to wait until the 4th gen comes out which means the best choice will be next year's Note11 that will have the completely new from ground up designed 48MP camera inside.

I refused to buy Note phone back then. I kept my Note 4. Too this day I still have my Note 4 with a 10,000 ma battery. Considering buying the One Plus 7 Pro. Haven't decided on that yet.

I myself not happy about the headphone jack being removed, and because of that, I'm not sure at this present time I'll buy the Note 10.
The alternative phone I had in mind is the One Plus 7 Pro. That phone lacks mainly one thing I usually prefer to have, and that be an microSD slot. But, considering has model with high compacity storage, I can live without that more then missing the headphone jack. There are other YouTube reviewers of the Note 10 that also are not happy of the headphone jack being removed. Yes, possible to use adapters, but anyone that's used them, know that jacks sticking out farther from the device is at a higher risk of damaging the port. especially when you on the move, wither it be from walking or running. A Bluetooth headset might work for some people, but for some people like myself, offen use for hours in a day, which the battery is done dead long before the day is over.
