Hi all, I am new to this and you can laugh at me, but actually I know very little about smartphones. (at least about software). Now, since I have Xiaomi Mi5 S for about 3 years, i noticed it is a time to change and obviously the Mi 9T Pro got my attention. Ofc it is not available in Europe, but I can get the Redmi K 20 Pro via all Geekbuying or AliExpress and what have you. My point is that I absolutely despise notches and I have to have 3,5 jack. Now, can anyone tell me WHAT is the difference between version bought out of China and those released in Europe? (except of the warranty period, of course)? Will Redmi K 20 Pro WORK in Europe? I read about bandwidths and networks differences, but heck, I know nothing about those. Also, the Asian stores advise there is no Google services or Play Store installed and only Chinese version is there, so how come my MI5 S had it all in English? Have they changed anything? As much as I am happy with English, I won't be able to make anything out of Chinese. (also, why won't they release those in EU at the same time, what is the point? Don't they want European customers money?) Last but not least: is there any serious difference between Mi 9 T and Mi 0 T Pro? I do not play games on my phone, but I wish I could watch Netflix and YT with decent quality...

    Thanks for any advice!

Anonymous, 12 Jun 2019When it will be in middle east and africa? It depends on Xiaomi's priorities. If they value ME&A markets lower than their EU counterparts, you may have to be very patient. Or place an order in China.

One thing is sure: Mi9T/Pro supplies will be insufficient. Demand will be high, supply - not enough. "Old" Mi9 was virtually unavailable in many EU countries for months. Now situation is significantly better, but it took some time. I expect the same in Mi9T/Pro cases.

Anyway, if the price will be higher than my expectation, my next phone will be Note 9.

I'm actually fearing the price of the MI9T Pro (that's even if gets a release) because UK price bumps are seriously bad. This is why I hope my good friends over at Gearbest, tobydeals, eglobal and banggood have some good prices. Fair enough I understand I'll miss out on the official 2 years Xiaomi warranty because I'll be purchasing it through a grey market, but I'll be saving a quite a lot of money. I just hope the event tomorrow wows me because Gearbest has a mid-year sale event, where u can get the Zenfone 6 for £424

So I was expecting that 8GB/128GB version of Mi 9T Pro (RedmiK20/PocophoneF2pro) to be around 365EUR as per official price in China? Am I deluded to think this will happen?

I have a broken phone and the only reason why I'm waiting this phone is due to "bang for buck" deal it offers but looking at many posts it seems I'm delusional this will happen. The price in Serbia for Pocophone F1 is about 275EUR (possibly with no Tax in it > I assume gray market). Given that the official price in China for 8GB/128GB is CNY2,799 (around 360EUR) I was hoping that it will be around that for Serbia as well (even less given the "no Tax/Gray Market" options). Any opinions (please only argument/sensible ones as I'm really in need of a phone and want to make a wise choice - money is scarce to put it in simple terms).

For someone could be IP68, OIS or AMOLED real dealbreaker (this is also my answer to ASUS Zenfone 6).

Back to Xiaomi MI 9T. In my country is this phone available for 468 EUR, while Xiaomi MI 9 for 428 EUR (both official ditribution and 6/64 versions). 9T Pro version will be much expensive. I wrote this in another forum, MI 9T Pro could by the flagship killer, but it depends on destination market and price settings. But it will not be in my country, sadly.

I wonder whether it's really official price for Polish market (would be strange, 'cos price for other EU markets seem to be much lower) or it's this particular shop's idea to lure some Xiaomi fans into overpriced purchase. Some people simply are ready to pay premium just to be among the first owners of an item.

Mi9T Pro is - spec-wise - clearly superior to Mi9. The same SoC and display kind, better battery, better connectivity. If Mi9T Pro will be priced similarly to Mi9, the sales of the latter will drop to zero. Somehow I doubt that Xiaomi is going to kill Mi9 so soon after its debut.

In Bulgaria Xiaomi Mi 9T (non Pro) is listed for 350€. Cheapest Mi 9 is currently at 420€. Im expecting the Mi 9T Pro price to be somewhere around Mi 9 rather than Mi 9 getting cheaper along with the Mi 9T Pro.
