if only the matter of 3 sim cards or 4 sim cards.. chinese phone already in the market in 2011. they even have 3 sim cards with hybrid cdma with 2 memory card slots.. can copy one to another memory card.. we here can get that kind of phone with only aroud us$80.

Here in Nigeria, most people go with 2-3 sim cards in 1 or 2 devices.. i go with 2 sims in 2 fones. i'ld luv to take 3 sims wit me but cant afford to carry 3 devices or one crapy low specs tri-sim fone along.
I'm lookin forward to a high specs multimedia tri-sim fone to do internet, gaming, calling etc without havin to carry atleast 2 devices.

Seeing as that most "Dual-SIM" phones are entry-level to low-end phones, I fail to see how many people actually carry THREE PHONES, that would necessitate such a device.
Quad-SIM though is simply insane.

Come on now, guys. We're discussing a phone. If we're going to discuss the international impact, then at least have some civility about it. I see this as catering to the fringes of already well established markets.
As it has been said, in countries where carriers tend to be smaller in scale and more plentiful in number, this phone will enter strongly being that it's LG (who make all price range phones which is a lot more than say HTC) who are building this so when it says 1.3MP camera, it won't be a vga in disguise and will probably be fairly durable, and, if course 1 more SIM than most of the competition. All good things.
In the countries where carriers are much larger and phones higher spec (due to large corporate subsidies), this phone could appeal to drug dealers, unfaithful spouses and business executives who may need dedicated lines.
I personally would relish a combination of the two ideas of high tech and multi SIM. Something along the lines of a quad core ICS dual-sim with an unlocked bootloader.
