jimbo84, 01 Feb 2012p4u have it i white and on the day of release. also "w... moreP4U always do the white variations of handsets, that's nothing new. Not everyone wants a white phone though, in my opinion they get mucky, that's just me.

Equally, Walk Out Working (or WOW) is just a brand name for setting up your device, something many shops have been doing or a long time, not just CPW or P4U or Dixons Group (although referring to it as Walk Out Working has been branded to CPW, note why Dixons group called it KnowHow). CPW have now decided to brand it and make it mandatory that its offered (either in store or over the phone via their technical support partners, Geek Squad) whereas before it wasn't. That means they can now advertise it as a USP and use it as another measure of staff performance. Dixons group have also started to follow this with their Knowhow service. To my knowledge (although correct me if I'm wrong) I don't think P4U have branded it, meaning its difficult to advertise, and not all of their stores have to do it. For instance my local P4U certainly does not (but then they also have a bad reputation so I don't know if they're a shining example of their company).

In regards to the Xperia S itself, I cannot wait until the phone is available and have plans to get one myself. I currently have a SE Android device and am very impressed with it and cannot wait to upgrade to this model. I also like the NFC tags and SmartWatch on the SE website that I think will be awesome with the device.

So whilst I agree that many stores do this, referring to it as WOW and using it as a USP they can use on marketing materials is still something unique to CPW (in the mobile industry anyhow).

Anonymous, 01 Feb 2012£430 is too much. It seems we have become accepting ... morephones have always been this dear, that price looks like it is for "off phone plan" and for this level of phone £450 is about normal and has been for years

This is to compete with Iphone 4s in the current market, it is much cheaper than Iphone, for what you are getting this is well priced... But I agree that phones are very expensive now.

£430 is too much. It seems we have become accepting of the idea that a new phone should cost nearly half a grand. You could buy a respectable laptop, or high-end tablet for that kind of money. This phone should be priced at £250 - £300 at the most. Anyone paying more than that has more money than sense.
