FCC Chairman claims NASA and NOAA are wrong about 5G interference with weather forecasts

14 June 2019
The FCC recently auctioned off $1.8 billion of spectrum to carriers that could pose a problem.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2019Foolishness. The reason here is because they all use the sa... moreHmm true, the energy released here is too low to harm anything in terms of study. However microwaves for instance (below visible light), is harmful, but not because of its energy like X rays or Gamma rays, but its ability to cause water molecules to vibrate.

So some people are careful maybe there is something we did not foresee when we implement this. But i say, from the current studies and stats.. nothing proof that 4g 5g or any g is harmful. Just make sure water does not suddenly boils in front of you LOL. The LED screen gives you more harm then 5G.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2019We don't "need" as there's no need for it, it is an excess!... moreSorry to say, but the argumentation is absurd...

If you had asked me in 1980 if I would ever "need" a wireless phone, with access to all the knowledge of all the encyclopaedias in the world, I would have said: NO.
Am I today glad that it is possible? Sure.

It is really hard to envision a "need" outside of what is more or less possible/available.

I'm NOT saying that 5G is a "must-have", but as no one knows what 5G can/will bring, how can anybody sensibly talking about "need"? Very strictly all we "need" is food, water, shelter and the ability to keep our species alive. All above that are "needs" in the "nice-to-have" region, and 5G MIGHT bring some that are really great. Who am I or you to say that there will or will not?

Popy, 14 Jun 2019Imagine that kind of rifle bullet like high intensity wavel... moreFoolishness. The reason here is because they all use the same bandwidth to communicate. So interference is possible.

There is no health hazards, smokes from your motorcycles kills more.. Speed of bullets.. wtf. 4G / 5G / Edge / 3G / LTE ALL travel at the same speed. The speed of light.

The reason why 5G is required, is because of too much users and the emergence of iOT devices, you need to assign more bands to accommodate.

Take a good look at the electromagnetic spectrum, LOOK at visible Light.. then laugh at the GHz 5G produces. In your theory humming birds will be all extinct by Sunlight LONG before human invent radio..

Stay at 4G then, oh wait, USA 4G has European 3G speeds.
Because China and South Korea already have over 2 million user 5G devices connected to their 5G network

Imagine that kind of rifle bullet like high intensity wavelength energy passing through ur body God bless us all. Already 4g has killed many small insects and small birds like humming birds in my country india. I just hope proper study has been made and proper changes are made.

So FCC knows better than NASA.. tell me a better joke please

yeah, like weather forecast where so accurate in the first place... I have better chance to say what weather will be just by looking at sky than looking at weather forecast...

EskeRahn, 14 Jun 2019What is "need"? Strictly we do not "need" mobiles at all, b... moreWe don't "need" as there's no need for it, it is an excess!
4G offers about 60Mbps. Which is already enough.
Most countries don't even have that. Most countries have low data plans any way.
So who is going to benefit from 5G?

I have never felt that 4G is slow here in the UK. So why push for 5G so much? Why is it a race and suddenly the media call for "5g war". There wasn't such thing when 4G was released. Suddenly China acts as if this is an emergency like nuclear weapons or something.

It's like petrol suddenly jumping to 150 octanes for some reason. Most cars use 95, some people put 99-100 octanes. Then suddenly they push 150 octanes. Or the speed limit is 70mph or 120km then suddenly they push for cars with top speeds of 400mph. Why?
Is it a great technological achievement? Yes. Is there a real need? No.

Don't get me wrong, of course we should improve but why don't they take their time?
To research more, to prepare for it more. Most people I know don't trust this 5G business.

Syuser, 14 Jun 2019Simple as that: WE DON'T NEED 5g while 3g and 4g are enough... moreWhat is "need"? Strictly we do not "need" mobiles at all, but they have given us a lot of new possibilities - and so will 5G.

When we got 2G we used our phones for calls and SMS, and rare expensive connects to the net. With 3G and 4G we can do a lot more. Who knows what 5G will bring - and it is not limited to phablets&phones, think IoT.

Simple as that: WE DON'T NEED 5g while 3g and 4g are enough for any kind of purpose!

it seems Trump wants to wait for the other countries to implement 5G first and observe what health effects and conditions it has on the environment and living beings.
