          the front panel and the back of the phone are almost exact to those on the huawei Y9 2019

            Not a statement from Huawei in regard, apart security patchs.
            Besides there is no way to install custom roms, as Huawei doesn't provide any tools to unlock bootloaders anymore.

                  Those selling their Huawei phones with Android license due to the ban are idiots. Because they have the right to receive updates forever with its android version installed. And sure Huawei will release an AOSP updated in the future of new versions for their most expensive phones. Aside that you can always install custom roms anyways.

                    Ever since the u.s. ban announcement, people are trying to avoid this brand like the plague. You should see how many people are trying to get rid of their huawei devices, just go to fb marketplace.
