Well I guess this is a good bye Sammy. No Jack no love

Keeping my note 9... I won't use a device without a headphone jack.

welcome to the world of jackless phones lol

Kevin T, 17 Jun 2019Buy a Pixel Simple or buy HuaweiYou obviously haven't used an S10 series phone after the camera firmware update, with the superb night mode.
It had better low light than the Pixel now. Only the Mate20 Pro beats it in low light.

Jaeger, 17 Jun 2019And what will you do when everyone ditch the headphone jack... moreYep, the days of a trusted, reliable and efficient connector are numbered because dumb customers follow dumb trends and listen to greedy companies' flawed logic.

Or smart customers could just vote with their wallet. Either give phones with jacks (and no notch and motorized parts) or they leave or they repair their devices instead of buying newer, less functional devices.

Jaeger, 17 Jun 2019And what will you do when everyone ditch the headphone jack... morePerhaps by then, we have a better standard and not a single sucky USB-C port.

Till then, I'll keep using the 3.5mm.

The only reason 3.5mm is going away is because of:

                - Phone manufacturers want to sell you their overpriced crap BT-headphones (yes, they are crap and margins on those are really high) = greed
                - They want to control what you can play back (DRM) by making everything USB-C digital and with a DRM on top (next rev) = greed
                - With a single port (USB-C) phones break faster when you have to insert/re-insert charger + wired usb-c headphones , thus you end up fixing/changing your phone faster for more profit to manufacturer = greed

The only reason to get rid of 3.5mm = greed.

Not what consumers want or what is good for consumer choice.

                Clearly an anti-consumer move.

Anonymous, 17 Jun 2019What do you mean? The wired headphones have no latency and ... moreExactly, it's a marketing decision. They figured out that if you could afford to pay $1k+ for a phone, you're also likely to not hesitate purchasing wireless audio accessories. And music streaming subscriptions.

Samsung has also acquired AKG, therefore it has more of a motivation to get you to buy AKG audio accessories. Or pre-order a Galaxy and get a free AKG headphone... any way to raise brand awareness and recognition.

Compare this with the cheap phones meant for certain markets e.g. India. The headphone jack becomes a necessity.

Seems like overkill for RAM. I'll gladly have 6Gb of RAM and 512Gb of storage over 12Gb of RAM and 256Gb of storage.

If the Android skin is near-stock and there's no bloatware, most people don't really need that much RAM.

Is Sammy and Apple on the race on who gets to copy Huawei first? As Apple's design look suspiciously "inspired" by the Mate series, Sammy's Note10 looks to be inspired by the P series.

Looking good if it really has an IR blaster.
