Xiaomi trolls OnePlus once again as Redmi K20 Pro prepares to launch in India

17 June 2019
That won't be for a full month, however. Last year, a "do the ma+h" campaign promoted the Poco F1 (the K20 Pro is its successor).

One huge problem for me, I travel internationally and K20/K20 Pro significantly lack in LTE bands compared to OnePlus 7 Pro. I have no doubt that the K20 hardware is great, but it's far too restricted by LTE bands for me

Indeed, and Xiaomi is one of them.

Android is open source. You can get any software ported for free. Newer hardware comes out every 6-12 months. Everyone can't keep on upgrading their phone's hardware. That's where software updates and upgrades come to play. Proper, faster and timely software updates maintains the hardware. Making it good as new instead of upgrading. Only a very few companies provide proper timely software updates. When we're paying for something we should also get the support and service from the company for longer.

OnePlus is an entirely different product.
Though speed is a relative criteria, it's not decisive.
