So theres plenty of reasons why Samsung is better and just 1 or 2 which One Plus is
It has nothing to do with being a fanboy but common sense and logic.
There have to be samsung haters who just wanna hate and talk rubbish. You just mentioned the screen why not anything else Samsung does better. Yes the screen is 90hz but it isnt as bright as the samsung display and it also takes a toll on battery life, they dont have waterproof, no sd card slot and no headphone jack.

In this case Oneplus will beat Samsung any time a day 365 days in a year.
Its overall a hundred times better device.
Just having less bloatware in phone is a huge plus.

However, it has been dunk tested in numerous videos online proving it is in fact waterproof. Rain will not harm it at all. It can survive in a bucket of water. Also consider that even IP68 rated phones like Samsung Galaxy S line does not cover warranty for water damage, anyway. So reality is whether a phone has the IP rating or not, if it is functionally waterproof, you will be safe in most all usage cases. Anyone who uses any phone, IP rated or not, in a wet environment, does so at their own risk as no factory warranty covers water damage.

It's tested by youtubers as well. OP just haven't paid for the IP rating to cut down on costs, but they've indirectly said it is waterproofed. However if your phone messes up due to water damage they aren't liable since they have no IP rating but it's pretty evident it's fine.

It's an amazing phone. The only reason I wouldn't buy is no waterproofing that's criminal. It should be standard on all phones in 2019. You spend all that money. Then it rains boom bye bye £600 phone so pointless.

Here we prefere Samsung for their customer service, warranty and repairing service. Samsung have their own lab here in Madrid and if something happens, they will fix it or change it for a new one.
If a Oneplus smartphone breaks, you have to send it back to China, paying the fees for the mailing. OnePlus may be a star in China and India because is much cheaper over there, but not in Europe.
Besides, Samsung is still number 1. Where is Oneplus?

Paying 100 bucks extra for water resistance is fine idea if the water resistance will cover your warranty.
IE. replacement of drowned phone is free.
But this isnt the case so its useless add-on which cost lot more money but is good for nothing. And many samsung features are simmilar.
