If the device will be completely genuine the only that xiaomi will cut is the income they want to earn.
In other words if 20% profit is enough for xiaomi to run their brand, pay staff, pay bills, rent for all their shop factories, developement etc then 20% is enough.
LG closed its factory in china and only the Vietnamese now remains.
But still they want to earn at least 200-300% from every sold device.
So if a V50 price to make is 200 euros they will sell it for 700 which will be 250% profit.
Just for example.
Redmi K20 pro or the premium edition are a great examples on how even a premium device can cost low.

And about cutting corners apple gives 5W charger in the box, sells with LCD display have no jack, no memory card and many else no and still the base model cost 3 times as much as Redmi K20 pro with Amoled.
Bith are made in china.
Just a nice example.

      If i buy french baguette from Tesco or Lidl, or Asda, Or Morrissons it will taste the same only difference will be the final price for the customer which in this case Morrisons will be most expensive where Lidl or Asda will be least expensive.
      But you still get same quality product.

      Same goes for LG. If xiaomi make completely genuine V50 LG phone under xiaomi brand and sells it for 500 then LG can go nuts.
      So please go lecture apes at zoo not the people which knows more than u.

        Can we pay extra for v50's with no notch?

                Accessible price. A really cheap phone!

                              Nahhh.. No more LG phones for me with such pathetic almost not existant OS updates. My current V30 is the last device i own from LG. Just pathetic.

                                  Have the LG V35 ThinQ, outstanding phone in every way and then some when it comes to audio prowess. LG V50 will be a great buy when it drops to 450USD. I got my LG V35 ThinQ for 350USD. Fortunately for us and unfortunately for LG they can't hold their prices much long after launch that's how low their mindshare is.
