blacksheep, 19 Jun 2019Indians are honestly so thankless. I mean why are you so ha... moreBecause India is a price and brand conscious market. Both OnePlus and Redmi brands have vast fan following. So when you are going to pit your flagship against very popular brands, you've to undercut them in price and develop fanbase. Then people will buy phones in future even if it's priced higher. But Asus sits in middle between Redmi k20 pro and OnePlus 7. So people will either spend some more money to have OnePlus or spend less to have Redmi k20 pro.

Indians are honestly so thankless. I mean why are you so hard to please? Asus is selling you their flagship cheaper than anywhere else in the world and you guys are still complaining about the price. You basically want it for free.
These companies are doing business, not charity.

SohailSays, 19 Jun 2019That's one hell of a tempting pricing! :) The pricing makes sense. At this price, it's Rs. 2000(~$30) more expensive than OnePlus 7 already (considering 128GB vs 128GB or 256 GB vs 256 GB). Any higher and it won't sell very well, since OnePlus is very popular in India and OP7 is a nice phone.
At this price, both phones are really good value and I won't be surprised if someone went either way (OIS and AMOLED vs 5000 mAh and headphone jack)

LCD is a huge turn off, LCD is so old and dated, start completely standardizing OLEDs and prepare OEMS to get ready for Micro LED

Pretty sure when the Redmi k20 pro gets an India release, it will make this phone along with the price look like a joke

Base model price should be less than 28k. in that case it would give tight competition for Oneplus 7. Now Oneplus 7 may win this competition witih better storage (128GB).

This is too expensive why didn't they price it a bit lower starting at 23,999. The K20/pcophone 2/9T will be much cheaper than it and will sell like hot cakes. Asus will sell it at a lower price just after 6 months in a sale eventually
