As a former Android and current iOS user I'm actually pleased to see Windows Phone coming along so well. It will keep everyone on their toes and the end users - ie customers - will benefit tremendously.

AnonD-21645, 03 Feb 20123 major concerns with Windows Mobile...
(and maybe people ... moreI think you hav'nt experienced Windows Phone, with Windows Phone you don't need widgets to see weather, time, date, facebook updates..etc, the tile will flip and will tell all the update. you don't even have to lauch the app. And about the app list, You don't have to scroll you full app list, it has alphabetic jump list. :p lol
Windows Phone touch is more smoother than any other OS,its Metro UI design is perfect for finger tips.
the only thing I want add to Windows Phone is Apple Siri like speech recognition to Microsoft TellMe.

Ok windows phone 7.5 supports one core. But the 8 can support over quad-core? That is some fast develloping.

phoneaddict, 04 Feb 2012The only full windows desktop phones available in the plane... moreIt is ment for a phone, not a laptop on a tiny screen, so dont expect to find ALL the features you'll find on a PC.. however, 6.5 sucked in terms of design and userfriendliness, jump over the 7.5 and you'll be pleased with how well it works and feels. You got most functions, at least the ones that matter. If you're really nerdy you'll be dissapointed, but if you want to use the phone as a "normal" person you'll be more than happy with it.

AnonD-27650, 03 Feb 2012Windows phones have no chance, on a tablet yes b ut not on ... moreThe problem is, most people right now knows that the end-experience of Android is subpar. Look at the mid-end and low-end, the experience is horrendous. WP7 is millions of light years ahead of Android when it comes to the UI experience. So no, I see Android with a declining and pitiful marketshare by 2013.

Imagine - You are on your way to EXTRE... moreThere are wonderful things coming from MS. I have always thought that wp could do better than other platforms. One it has an edge over all of them for a reason you have just made mention. I have always thought also that having a windows phone could mean much more than a cell phone if it is properly integrated.
Just think about this, a windows phone, a 32" lcd screen, a wireless keyboard and you can do your world processing, auto card and the rest.
The world is shrinking mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

We spent awhile such that the hardware was ahead of softwares; the quadcores appears although softwares and Apps run on dual and single smoothly till now.
But with this step, WP8 will be away head the current hardware.
I mean if it were aphone with 8 Cores processor ,4GB Ram and Nvidia Tegra 5 (forexample), then I could propably Play Crysis 2 on it.
