I was trying to set my wifi security on my htc 3d and it went off so when I turns it back on it is showing me a emergency call screen and asking for a password and I have never use a password on this phone before. What must I do now because it is not letting me any more and keep asking for a password which I have never use a password before.

Anonymous, 03 Feb 2012these news reduce htc's customers. The same way in which apple users were reduced when it was found out that iPhone's were sending out location information about it's handsets unbeknown to it's users

If you are wondering if any of your apps have access to this you can check by going to Settings - Applications - Manage Apps - Downloaded - Permissions (Down the bottom of the page.)
Just in case you weren't aware.

Stunned, 03 Feb 2012What exactly does apps having access to all Wi-Fi passwords... moreJust the password of the wifi connection profile. Not a very big deal. Corporate users should careful but installing random apps will pose other bigger risks anyway...
