I think kirin 810 seems to be such a powerful and capable SoC and being manufactured on 7nm node, it promises efficiency while offering relatively good performance, trumping the snapdragon 730 in efficiency and power, let alone snapdragon 710

Sounds like too much exaggeration. We need to first see to beleive it

A simple question. How is this possible? I mean. Arm will stop giving chips to Huawei. How is possible then?

In my opinion, Qualcomm's behavior is a shame!
You must understand what is SEP and FRAND...all Pro-Qualcomm articles avoid these 2 acronyms. Forget that Qualcomm's CEO lied in front of the judge. Forget the list of harmed companies (Intel, Texas instruments, NVIDIA, Via, Samsung, Huawei, Motorola, Lenovo, Sony, LG, Mediatek...)

And of course, no link to the judicial finding in these articles...so called journalists! No sources! They are ridiculuous!

Instead or reading crap in Daily Signal or Forbes (Patrick Moorhead's article, some others are quite good)

LG Superfan, 21 Jun 2019Seems impressiveNot as impressive as I thought, I think I had my expectations too high : (

                    Here's how it turned out:
                    - Yep, both expectation and announcement for using the new TSMC 7nm lithography
                    - Yep, both expectation and announcement for having 1.8GHz six Cortex A55 CPUs
                    - Nope, no mention about supporting specific camera capture, LTE performance, DSP etc etc
                    - Nope, Mali G52-MP6 is quite weaker than Mali G77-MP8, or even the Mali G76-MP8
                    - Nope, expected for 2.6GHz for the dual ARM Cortex A76 CPUs but only getting 2.3GHz

It could have "smoked" the QSD 730, but it actually looks like its very equivalent to it overall. Which means performance-wise its still below the likes of the older QSD 835, Kirin 970, Exynos 8895, and maybe even the Exynos 8890, when in fact it could have "smoked" these older flagship chipsets. Either a yield issue (unlikely), or a financial decision on Huawei's part (greedy).

And Samsung has been making some good progress on fixing what's wrong with their phones. They just need to realize that the flagships should have the cool new tech, not the mid-rangers

What is this Rubik's Cube Quantitative Stereo Arithmetic Unit, did a check on Rubik's Cube Arithmetic theorem still scratching my head what that got to do with graphics rendering? Rubik's Cube is finding the start points then moving them to until they are complete cube with each color on one side? Can you explain it? What that got to do with graphics!?

I very much like this chip although I have not seen how it performs in a phone but I surely believe it will perform like flagship.
