Weekly poll: what's the best position for a punch hole camera?

Left, center or right? Makers are trying out the different options, but they haven't settled on a favorite yet. What about you?

I really don't like notches and punch-hole design, its basically useless and takes more space than bezels. While gaming and watching videos notches and punch-hole are hidden with thick black bars so its actually wasting screen space while using battery (only applies to TFT and IPS display not AMOLED) without any benefit.

I'd rather have a thicker bezel with camera and front firing speakers on it than extra screen space with notch or punch-hole without any benefit. Thicker bezels also somewhat decreases the chance of breaking the front glass.

    Holes are bad idea - well the only current solution is motorised pop up, which I don't like. I don't mind P30's punch hole at all.

      honestly eider give it a small bump or give thicker bezels, it's not like the phone doesn't get ghost touches as it already...

        option 5, just use old design front facing camera, no need to think how ugly notch, pop up, flip , screen hole camera, or dual-screen design are

            probably they should consider producing and selling "no-front camera" versions of their phones, most likely a little more compact and cheaper as the associated optics and chips will be missing. from the look of it almost 30-50% of the population will buy these versions.

              The hole is a bad idea because the camera's lowest part, a significant border, that determines where the upper vertical status bar ends, descends too low, as a result the status bar becomes too big and a greater percentage of the display is wasted.
              Teardrop positioning is superior because it is attached to the upper level, thus keeping the lowest part of the car as high as possible.

                  When the question is about "best position for punch hole camera ?", Why did you include an option to remove the hole itself which is everybody's option. This option is out of scope for the question asked.
                  Untill underdisplay camera modules come, I prefer to have a smaller bezel instead of any sort of eating out the screen. Also, the corners should be less or no curved.
                  If we have to live with punch holes, then I prefer on Top left.

                      Personally I prefer no holes, but if I have to choose then center hole is fine, better not to interrupt the notifications and status bar layout.

                        Why have a hole in the display? Better to see the whole picture full even if it is smaller by 1mm.which is nothing when considering the current trend of the display size.

                                No holes or notches . Next phones must have swivel cam like Asus zenphone 6. Or full forehead like in pixel 4 leaked models and no chin. What is the use of chin and notches or holes in same phone display. I like Sony Xperia 1 or pixel 4 leaked design with no chin and no notches or holes.

                                  My reason that punch hole should be on the right because when you play games, the d-pad or joystick will be on your bottom left. So if the punch hole is on the left (which is on left bottom when you flip your phone) probably is a bad idea. I can still tolerance punch hole in the middle.

                                      Of course without any hole is the best way possible. What is this poll even for? If it's asking about hole position why even give an option to not have any? It's like asking what's the best low-end phone and put a galaxy s10+ as an option.

                                        I think every oem should make every phone with a punch hole
