It is actually development board created for students to facilitate their budding ideas. You want it to compete gaming devices like Nvidia shield, you are mistaken on its original purpose. It has to be pocket friendly, both size and cost wise.. nothing other than that..

Most of them i was able to finnish in like 20-30 minutes but still they were awesome compared to some games nowdays such as Dark souls series ,Borderlands, The Witcher or Elderscrolls which takes several months to have all 100% complete,

When i got my Commodore ... moreI still have my C-64 in its original box with very low serial number, that my dad borrowed from the educational department of material and telecom planing for the military and national defense. I was way much older than 4 though. It must have also been in 1985. God I miss those days, I had my precious Kuwahara back then also.

That seems a bit overkill for it, in my opinion. The market is there, sure, but maybe they don't want to compete in sections of the market that have already been "taken".

For $35-55, the Pi 4 is looking like a good basis for some funky project you might have.
4k/60fps output is great if you want to set it up as a media device, outputting to a TV.

                      That was something awesome.
                      Now i miss that times.
Ancient games with 256 colors had their punch line.
Vega was first personal computer which doesnt cost a fortune back in early of 70s era.
Now a fully functional vega cost around 1000 bucks with some games on ebay.

The bar of people info and thinking really has been set very low this days!
Well for recorded i use one of this little monsters(Pi3) so i can watch all videos and pictures i took at family ceremonies and i use the other one to stream music everywhere in my house and the last one is a little guardian which controls almost everything in my house(from preparing tea/coffee up to opening door from long way away for my fiance or family members)
Also i am thinking using one of this for my steam personal server as i need to install games on my new device or some folks who want to test a game.
I guess i'll go with $55 one which has 4GB ram and replace it with one that use for streaming 1080p/4K videos that i captured and using that one as my steam server!

4/8GB (2nd gen)LPDDR4x, at least a quad core A76 and at best, a specced out quad core A77 at 7nm+ EUV.
The Broadcom GPU in my opinion is somewhat weak, a specced out Mali(G76/G77) or PowerVR(Series9XTP) GPU would have been better!
The USB Type A ports they should have made and the 4 of them USB 3.2 Gen 1 and the Type a C 3.2 Gen 2 with PD support for hats like PiJuice.
WiFi AX support, Bluetooth 5.1, 2.5G Ethernet(of course with PoE support). I personally don't like the mini HDMI, they should have added 2 full size stacked HDMI 2.1 ports instead. A microSD XC slot with UHS-III or even Express support, a slim integrated cooling system etc(there are still many areas for improvement, there too many for me to tell them all).
I may have gone overkill but if you thing that Jetson Nano with an MSRP of 99 USD, has(or almost has) many of the things that I said, isn't it fair for lets say a Pi 4 Model B+ or even a Pi 4 Model C.
